>"Utsuho, can you hear me? I'm here for Orin and Satori."

>It takes a moment, but eventually she raises her head slowly from the ground towards you. Her eyes... look unfocused, almost vacant; her face, expressionless. Then she seems to glimpse Kanako beside you. You see a very slight twitch near her cheekbone and something flashes in her eyes. She turns towards her; her face remains impassive, but her eyes seethe. It is... a disturbing expression to witness.

>"Don't get ahead of yourself," Kanako says. Utsuho turns her gaze back to her. To say she was glaring would put too much force into her hollow expression. But you feel that if you could touch what smoldered behind those eyes, it would consume you.
>"I don't know that I even care anymore," Utsuho says.

>"Even if you don't care, Orin does. If you truly want to remain here, then there's nothing I can say. But, I want to be able to tell her your words. What has Kanako done to you?"

>"If you say another word like that," Kanako replies, coldly, "you will leave and that will be that. There are limits to the lines even I will allow someone to cross."
>"Is... is she ok?" Utsuho asks.

>You turn to face Kanako.
>The air around you is positively icy now. "I have not tortured her," Kanako replies. "Since our battle, I have not raised a hand to harm her. Nor would I condone anyone else to do so. You are blinded by your preconceptions if you think this is the case."

>"Is it respect you deserve?"

>"You are free to disapprove of my actions as you choose," Kanako says. "But you will not insult me repeatedly and then expect me to continue to grant you indulgences."
>What is it about these gods and alternate histories, anyway?
>Hopefully not... As angry as you are, you're still quite certain Kanako could wipe the floor with you without breaking a sweat.

>Let the air get icy, she has to be very careful how she attacks if she doesn't want to hurt some of the equipment.
>"How have you not harmed her, you stupid beast!? Look at her! You've deprived her of practically everything! You are torturing her by deprivation! Would you say it wouldn't be harm if Sanae were thrown in there instead? I can see why you wouldn't tell her, now. How could she face the that the being she worships is torturer? It is disgusting that you pretend otherwise! You are disgusting."

>"I cannot force her to accept the things we offered her," Kanako says. "I was more than charitable, given the circumstances. If she refuses everything, than she has made her own choice to do without."
>Kanako seems remarkably unfazed by your demonstration. You admit a grim satisfaction in doing so, just the same.
>"I cannot stop you from telling who you choose. But all you will accomplish is to sow fear and conflict. If that is truly what you wish, then by all means attend to it. But now, we shall leave."

>You feel a strong wind whip up around you, pushing you towards the exit.

>You place your hand towards the Shimenawa and prepare a blast that you think will have the best chance of breaking through it. However, the wind is rapidly pushing you out of the room, despite your efforts to keep your position.
>Kanako looks at you with an expression of disbelief. "You would seek to unleash as destructive a force as her in the heat of anger?" Her expression hardens. "If your actions bring harm to anyone here, I will not be forgiving."
