I imagine people enjoy Minecraft for different reasons. I find that exploration is very satisfying for me. The way the game randomly generates beautiful maps keeps it fresh for a much longer time. And somehow, when you start a new file, it always feels like you just got the game. When you make and develop your first home, when you find your first gargantuan cave, when you find your first diamond, it always feels new in each file. It's very magical.

Also, I'll put it out there that I feel like I can make and do anything during the day, but the dark encourages paranoia. This balance feels really nice.

I didn't even know that existed; thanks for telling me. Messed around a bit in classic mode, and it seems like my computer can handle it just fine with the next-to-shortest rendering distance setting, so I guess that is a somewhat good sign.

That's it, I've fucking had it with this game and its crashing every few minutes.

Every time it crashes and I load it back up I respawn in a fucking wall and have to rush back to where I was praying my shit didn't disappear.

Setting the fog distance to normal/short seems reduce the random crashes alot for me, you should try that out.

Drudging Corpse

If this was in a game I made, it would be a VERY rare encounter.

It's pratically invincible to all of your attacks, even if all of it's limbs are blown off, it will continue to live and eventually grow new limbs.
Given it isn't very fast but jumps likes a kangaroo on LSD.
If it bites you, you are SCREWED. You will slowly die from it's infectious bite, and the worst part is that very dangerous wildlife is drawn to the scent of the bite.

Those are all pretty cool! You should apply a slight texture to the skin and other smooth areas though, so it's not just a single color. 3D perspective "breaks" if you use a single color with no shading, and Minecraft has no shading for character models. If you're using Photoshop, a simple Add Noise filter set to a small amount works wonders.

Edit: Can anyone help me find/Does anyone already know the client/client wrapper/program used in this video? :< Looks like it'd be helpful for building. Flying with MCC before Alpha definitely was, and this appears to have MUCH easier to use flying than MCC had.

Edit2: NUOH GAWD, YES. After A month and a half of being deprived of it, it was well worth the wait- there's now something even better than the old MCC! En- -joy.

I can't run a livestream with minecraft, but I have found that running camstudio works fine, once I convinced the damn thing to work. So I've started making minecraft videos!

Heres my first - I figured a new technique for digging and building towers fast, so thought I'd make a video. Also I kinda prettied mine up, i've got a bit of a style with these things. :V

Its just building another of these, but very quickly and with less exotic materials (all stone, no lightstone) Main thing is just the staircase and digging method. As I hadn't thought of doing it like this before.

Awwww. My log/wood fireplace that never burned out just burned out cause of the changes. Now I need to mine obsidian so I can go to the Nether and get some of the red blocks there.

Those glitches are handy :V helps you find diamond and gold faster :V

I am amazed how the devs did not actually test out the new launcher and just uploaded to blatantly on the internet. Nobody could join with the new launcher but you could with the old one. Then there was this HORRIBLE lag on the server side which also got fixed later on.

While the lighting looks sick and awesome, it degenerates your vision. Now we need to spam more torches.

I am also sad they fixed the fast-dig glitch. Bah...

oh god... nobody told me those big white ghost things were.... big... and with big I mean GARGANTUAR.

I'm so glad their projectiles don't break my blocks, so my easy-bake-fortress doesn't get blown to shit.
