Build the Atlier.

We should do something with all our money, I propose Hibachi buy lots of books preferably on smithing. Ferra should probably go with her.

Research defense tower and put the rest into rapid growth.

I propose the planting of 10 money trees. even though we have quite a bit of cash it seems we still don't have enough to buy the materials to construct anything we can't already construct.

Ruby should look for a gem mine.

Glenda and Maya put on another show
Sounds like a good enough reason to start buying and magic-making Iron to me.
Might as well name the Waitress as well; perhaps we'll have an event from it.

Let's name her Elmina.
I agree with everything above.

Also, should we go for the massage this week?

Apparently, Thomas the Tank Engine isn't one to take crap from anyone.

Prices raise and fall with notoriety and market manipulation to get discounts.  Unless you're ordering more then 5000 iron in one shot you won't even budge the general market through normal purchasing.

Also we've got a tie between making iron with the excess mana and planting money trees.  (Assuming you want to name Waitress)

Suggestion: Have Hibachi buy 42+ Wood, and we then build the Atlier and Wall. Assuming we can double build. if we can't, even with the needed stuff, instead Buy 25+ wood, and Build Atlier.

Week 13 Results

I'm ashamed of myself for not catching this....

1: Eskarina - Find Gems

Eskarina: "Sorry I'm late!"

Escarina found a series of tunnels in the jeweled ceiling of Makai.  Ruby would need to find a place for a portal however.

Sakaki: "An Atlier eh?  Too bad we can't do alchemy there..."

You built the Atlier.  Kirala's level increased by one.

Kirala: "It's great, but there's room for expansion."

Defense Towers - 50

You finished researching Defense Towers!  You can build up to 12.  Each costing 48 wood, 48 iron, 4 gems and costing 25 mana.  They grant +10 defense.

Yuki: "Hm.   Bet there's a way to increase their power."

You learned rapid growth.  For 5 mana you can instantly harvest a crop you ask Heather for.
Heather - "Well that's handy."

Yuki: "Hm... Maybe there's some other useful gardening style spells..."

She grinned.  It was a pretty good smile.  Yuki swore she could almost hear the light reflecting.

"Though I suppose we could add mirrors or something to..."

"I don't want to run that kind of establishment," Yuki stated.

Elminia thought for a moment.  "I suppose most of our customers would have skirts too, and for some reason people get touchy about that.  Oh well."

"I any case, I can track orders flawlessly, carry food for 8 at full speed and work 12 hour days without loosing my cool," Elminia said.  "So the more jobs you give me the more I can help get cash in."

Yuki pondered that.  "Hm...  Okay then.  I might have some other odd jobs for you as well..."
Spells:

As a named devil her level is automatically increased by one.  For naming a devil, Morale and Max Morale have increased by 5.

Elminia   Waitress    1   +$5 income for every food based bulding (Currently 2).


Elminia - "Don't worry about me.  I can run a hotel resturant by myself.  Well except for the cooking of course."

You create 5 iron

Yuki: "If someone makes a pylon joke I'm going to set them on fire."

Special Actions
1: Ruby - Clear out the mines

Ruby: "Okay.  I should be fine so long as there are no snakes."

Ruby: "Augh!  Giant Snakes!"

Failure.  Ruby gains 10xp.  The area is not cleared.

Ruby: "Sorry.  They got the jump on me."

2: "Shotglass" - Wine tasting

"Shotglass": "Er... Mind if I pass that off to Elspeth?  I don't see many mixed drinks to serve up at those events."

Elspeth: "Leave it to me Mistress.  I know everything there is to know about wines."

Gained 67gp.  Gained 3 notoriety.

3: Hibachi - Acquire Ironworking Books.

Hibachi: "Here's a few ideas she could try out."

Ferra: "Hm... Nothing big but maybe I can use it for the 'thing' you ordered."

Ferra's special task skill increased!  Hibachi paid for the book via trades.

4+5: Glenda and Maya please the crowds

Glenda: "Grant me the power to revolutionize the world!"

Yuki: "Huh.  I figured the roles would be switched."

Gained $323, 1 notoriety.

6 + 7: Ferra and Kirala - Make cool thing

Ferra: "It's a Gundam!"

Kirala: "Okay, it's a 1:1 scale Gundam replica."

Sanae: "I'll take it! ^_^ "

Yuki: "Where did you come from!?"

Yay!  You sold a Gundam for 500 pix!

8: Get a Massage

Helepolis: "Oh, afterwards Alouette wanted to see you..."

9 stress has gone away.

"I set up a temporary stage, but I think it'll do for tonight."

"Eskarina and Ferra have fireworks set up!"

"And Glenda's gonna sing!"

"I've gotten some fine liquor imported from all the friends I've met adventuring."

"And I've got the best drinks you can make from that down perfect."

Joan pushed through the crowd and took her and Mai by the hand.  "But first lets let you take your seats.  Elminia can grab anything if you need it."

Yuki let herself be taken to the head of the table, where she and Mai took the two large chairs there.  Mai seemed to be just as shocked as she was.

Elle moved up and gave another bow.  "Um, I have a note from Koakuma thanking you for naming all of our sisters.  And well... I know that I'm not actually bound to either of you.  But I'm glad I'm able to serve you."  The devil flushed and bowed again.  "Thank you!"

After a few moments Mai raised her glass and looked at Yuki.  "Told you it was a good idea."

"Yeah.  Yeah it was."  Yuki smiled and raised her own glass.  "A toast!  To the best idea Mai's ever had!"
Event:
The succubi threw a party for you in thanks for being named.
Morale is set to Max.  Max Morale increased by 30!

No stress this week.

Name Devil - 100 mana - Special: You must name the devil. - Pick an unnamed devil.  That devil gains the name you desire and 1 level of skill immediately.  In addition, named devils are far more likely to succeed at special tasks and add to defense.  Named devils may gain other special abilities as well.
Create Money - 1 mana - Creates $2
Create Wood - 5 mana - Creates 1 wood
Create Iron - 10 mana - Creates 1 iron
Create Gems - 20 mana - Creates 1 gem
Charm Devil - 10 mana - Removes negative mental effects from a devil.  Costs morale.
Cure Devil - 30 mana - Heals a Devil of any physical condition. Nameless devils cost 1 gem more.  Removing Death costs 5 gems more.
Enhance Devil - 50 mana - Doubles Devils effectiveness at the cost of a week of exhaustion.  Only affects named devils.
Empower Gem - 1 gem 100 mana - Gives you 50 mana to use later.
Money Tree - 1 gem, 5 mana - Ads 5 income
Planar Portal - 10 gems 50 mana or 15 gems 100 mana - Creates a portal to a location inside/outside of Makai.

Special Actions - Maximum 7 - Limit one per devil/magician
Stress Relief - Helepolis.  Removes d10+5 stress.
Grind levels - Ruby.  Helps (slowly but safely) level Ruby and gets random drops.
Dance Party - Requires Dancer, Bartender.  Devils do not become bored at the end of the week.  Morale may be gained, and stress may be gained or lost depending on RNG.  This party costs d4 * 4d10 in cash.  Butler can decrease the multiplier.
Fight Crime - Mai.  This weeks event is canceled and reduces notoriety.  Mai and Yuki may be injured.

Well money gets used for repairs, and if you can find them (VERY HARD) books.  Money will also be used for other minor things in the future, but you haven't unlocked that yet.

Guy makes a good point.  I second the mana-to-iron conversion.

Also agreeing with all of this, as well as researching Dig and New Attacks.

Lets see if Eskarina can research a way, along with Apophis, to cut down further on the cost of buildings.

Lastly, check with Helepolis to see if there is something we can do to increse her effectiveness at massages.

That's a good idea but would it be more effective if we Enhance Ferra and use the "remain" mana for iron?

Agreed.  We need Ferra to be healthy right now because of the slow rate at which iron is made, and I feel a boost plus a week of not being able to work doesn't seem like it will help the situation much.

Resources are for spending. Turn gems into iron as we need it. With the dig spell we might unearth more of them shinies.

We haven't researched the Gems to Iron spell jet and even if we invest all our mana in iron it will take 10 weeks till we have enough for the Foundry.
Also we never used the Charm spell so we don't know how much moral it costs, we can leave it if it's too expensive but I didn't see a reason why we shouldn't try it at last once.

Maybe I didn't made myself clear, what I want to suggest is that we Enhance Ferra and use Cure and Charm to solve the Exhausted problem.
