>Snarl, "Any specific obligations?"

>"To keep her safe. And to make sure that none of the people she hides from ever find her. No matter what."

> Where is Rumia exactly?

>It looks like Mokou grabbed her and sheltered her from the blast, too.

>"And if this is what you call serving her, then I would for her. At least Mokou does her the honor of letting her speak for herself and make her own decisions, rather that forcing her into this tapeworm existence you revel in while laughing at the dead."
>Forward.

>Eirin does not respond.
>You stumble a few more steps forward. You're only a foot or two from them, now.

>Walk quietly.
>Note that Eirin just tempted fate into having the Lunarians come get her.

>You slowly walk past them. Eirin continues to start at you intently, yet distantly, her expression hard to read. Reisen, on the other hand, is glaring at you and Mokou with barely suppressed aggression. Mokou returns the expression. Rumia, for her part, looks almost traumatized. Still, you pass by without incident. Eirin does not even turn to follow you.

>Take Rumia's hand.

>Opposite what? The corridor you're in turns right just past Reisen and Eirin. At that point it extends for some distance with doors along both sides. Then it intersects with another corridor. Past that is the door to the courtyard.
>You take Rumia's hand. She looks up at you with an expression of great concern. "You don't look so good...." she says.

>Prepare to defend yourself if Eirin is attempting to attack us from behind.

>You try to keep aware for any possible attack from the rear, although to be honest, you don't think you're in any shape to dodge them at this point, regardless. Fortunately, she makes no action to stop you in any way.

>"Don't worry, Rumia. I'm fine."

>Rumia nods slowly and tries to force a smile. It doesn't really work. You're pretty sure that even she didn't buy that.

>"I'll be fine, at any rate."
>Head for that intersection, then.

>You head down the corridor.
>"You're just letting them go!?" you hear Reisen say, from behind you.
>"Enough," Eirin says, quietly.

>You reach the intersection. To door to the courtyard is in front of you, and the other corridor extends off to your left, connecting with a perpendicular corridor after a short distance. You think the second door to the courtyard that you saw from outside is just to the right of that intersection. There two doors along the left wall of this hallway.

> "I feel lots of pain all over, but I'll be ok. I have other things to worry about other then myself."
> "Come Rumia, can you give a big smile, like you did when I gave you the pooky box, and the food. You smiling makes me feel better."

>"Rumia doesn't want you to be hurt," she protests, softly. "Rumia came with you so that you could stop being hurt...."
>She considers this for a moment, and then tries to give you a big smile. She still seems a little sad, but she's certainly putting effort into it. It's touching, really.

>She smiles even wider.
>You lean down and give her a hug. Ow... it hurts to bend. She wraps her arms around you tightly in return.
>"You've got some guts, y'know," Mokou says. You notice she looks a little blasted herself; probably from when she was shielding you with herself.

>"That makes two of us," Mokou says.
>You don't see signs of anyone else in this area at the moment. And giving the noise of the battle, it seems likely there probably isn't anyone at all; surely someone would have come look. Maybe the only chambers over here are  the princess's? They were a little more isolated, and Reisen came from the other side of the courtyard.
>"Eh, how should I know? Taking a walk? Sitting on her ass, somewhere?"

>You open the door and return to the courtyard. It looks much the same as it did a few minutes earlier. The three rabbits are still standing near the pond. However, there is one addition. Standing among them is a woman with long black hair, dressed in a pink shirt and a long flowing burgundy skirt. She seems to be talking with them.

>One of the rabbits looks over at you, and her eyes widen when she sees you. You imagine you look like a bit of a wreck at the moment; you certainly feel like one. The rabbit takes a step back behind Kaguya, who reaches out and strokes her gently on the head.
>"Hello, Mokou," she says, without turning around. Mokou just grumbles in reply.
