>"Yes, sorry."
>"Do you intend to continue this? We've already done plenty of damage to each other, and you know I never wanted any of this in the first place."

>"Do you intend to resist, still?" asks Kanako, "If this is the case, I am left with little choice."

>"But... if you insist on resuming, at least let me move Suwako out of the line of fire. You may still be convinced that I am a prideful person who cares of no one but themselves, but I don't want to hurt her any more than I have to. I have no desire to cause suffering for its own sake."

(A little less threatening than I would have done, I think, but I suppose it works. Nice call on the watch, I remembered we had the cell phone but I wouldn't have thought of using the down time to whip them both out.)

>You do, but they're very fast, and coming from a lot of angles. You do not feel confident about flying through them.
>Beforehand, you might have been able to get close to her. But now, with the rings collapsing, being remade, and the cards flying out, you don't feel confident about it at all.

>You move into the gap, and find you don't really have time to fire before more cards close in around you.
>You open The Pocketwatch, and time slows. Despite this, it's...not easy to find your way through. The cards are flying in thick groups, and there are gaps between them, but the individual groups are overlapped in such a way they can practically pin you in if you make a single wrong turn. You try your best to weave your way through and find a gap. Then you fire on Kanako. The beam strikes her strongly, but she manages to hold out.
>Then time moves once again, and your find yourself in the middle of a huge blizzard of free-flying cards and rings of cards.
