I've been juggling the clearing of Lunatic stage 6 in MoF, SA and UFO for a while now. My goal's been to clear them without getting hit more than twice, and not to use any bombs either. Today I made a run against Utsuho and died three times, and every single death was the result of some slight stupid miscalculation - I mean, I got hit during the start of her final card.  :V

I'm still keeping it though. I like the perceived feeling of actually making progress.  :blush:

Edit: But I'll add that I hate myself for it.  :X

Those ones are easier than Medoteko. Also Astronomical Entombing if you destroy familiars.

Hirokawa is sometimes mean to me, her first is loleasy though.

Ten Evil Stars...yeah, it ruined my perfect Utsuho fight. Doesn't count though :V

Speaking of Apollo 13, played it for the first time in a long while and captured it. And the weird thing is, I suddenly "understand" the patterns behind it even after not playing it. I can't guarantee a capture every time, but it just feels so much easier now.

Same thing here (well, not with Apollo 13 but touhou in general). I would see danmaku more like a wall of death, but now I can identify every single bullet and it's direction. Now after 6 months since I started playing touhou, I can come extremely close to 1cc'ing Lunatic on several games.

Because EoSD's gameplay sucks compared to every other Windows Touhou game.

And congrats on the IN 1cc. PCB is not that bad though - you can do it only once if you want, and all those resources will probably get you the 1cc on the first try.

I find EoSD a hell of a lot funner than UFO.

Very little memorization and almost every card is random dodging. Of course, randomness sucks when it comes to Remilia. I got walled by almost everything she had in my 1cc.

Hell, even MarisA Patchouli is pretty fun outside of Sylphae Horn High Level.

I don't think it sucks that much, especially with hitbox patch (which solved my main gripe about it).
Sure there is no cherry/human-youkai/faith/communication/ufo, or anything like that,
but I don't think that makes it not fun.

Plus, once you get used to staying the hell away from metal fatigue bullets,
and recognizing that the red part of bubbles kill you, it's not that bad.

Same here. I can fight Sakuya and Remilia in lunatic pretty well (even going through walls!),
but when it comes to Shou and Byakuren... :V
Oh, and personally I hate having to collect ufos. I always end up collecting close to 0 resources even in hard.

If you use every bomb in the game you will probably arrive at Yuyuko with 2 or 3 lives which should be enough for the 1cc :3
EoSD is the same, I guess. Last time I died three times with full bombs in stock max lives btw and still got half of Scarlet Gensokyo down.

As for me, I've been taking a break from Touhou (yeah these are coming more frequently I have my reasons that I won't go into here), but I tried UFO stage 4 yesterday and laughed at the skill atrophy of merely a week away from the series. No accomplishments here.
