Gold Medal'd GFW Route B1 Easy "Three Fairies". That spell gets pretty tough.

EDIT:

1D2B UFO Stage 3 Lunatic. Deathbomb at Midboss Ichirin deathbomb. (Failed laserreading gets me caught in the middle of two lasers only to be pierced by the third) Died at second orb spam, rushed too much at the circling part and had to use a bomb and perfected Ichirin.

I'm starting to think that the majority of this level isn't that bad. I just have no idea how you guys can handle the orb spam so well. 90% of the time i get drowned in bullets. Very similar to EoSD Books for me.

IN Lunatic 1cc!

Yay, I finally got enough patience to deal with this game. Just like what happened on Hard, this was my very first time facing Kaguya on Lunatic (not a blind run obviously, but you get the idea). And that one successful cutback I made on Hourai made ALL the difference.

That makes 5 Lunatics 1cc'd.

I'm starting to think that the majority of this level isn't that bad. I just have no idea how you guys can handle the orb spam so well. 90% of the time i get drowned in bullets. Very similar to EoSD Books for me.

I stole Jaimers' strategy of staying near one side of the screen so that bullets will only come from one general direction, and it works okay as long as I pay enough attention. I don't know what you're doing though, so I can't tell if this advice will help.

If you're using Marisa A, you can sweep back and forth and kill off most of them, then once your path is too full of bullets to reliably unfocus back and forth, you can dodge the rest without much trouble since there won't be very many spawning bullets. Works even better with Sanae B

Otherwise, it's just a read 'n dodge. The section will become much easier to sightread as you keep playing and get more practice with reading more bullets at faster speeds.

I thought Yuyuko trivialized the stages more? Either way, I really don't care enough for IN to worry about character choice (aside from my normal preference for forward shot types). I'll capture what cards I have left in Spell Practice and possibly come back to perfect Extra, but that will be it as far as I'm concerned.

I've 1cc'd PCB, MoF, SA, GFW, and IN so far. EoSD and UFO I'll do for sure, because they're among the main shooters, and I can probably complete both StB games with enough patience. The rest really depends if I ever feel like seriously trying out their different gameplay.

Border Team is THE team in IN.

Sorry Naut, but i'm not using Marisa. Not right now anyway. I'm praticing the stage with ReimuA right now. If i can do it with her i should be able to do with ReimuB and SanaeB as well. If i can get this stage down a Lunatic 1cc sounds much more plausible than it ever did.

Capped LFO 3 times in a row. What?

I still suck at everything else though. Misread Good Omen - fair enough. Butchered by second non-spell. Don't quite got it yet. Forget what to do/fail at positioning myself at Makai Butterfly, laserclip at Milky Way, getting hit by bubbles at Devil's Recitation and consistently capturing Super Human.

The latest streak of LFO caps lead me to think i'm showing signs of improving. But i still suck at this fight.

I pacified and perfected the stage portion of stage 1 in MoF. This is probably the best thing I've accomplished in touhou.

Not bad. I decided i wanted to try the same thing. Just with a few added restrictions. No focus + boss fight pacifist. It didn't go very well. I died 7 times. MInoriko decided to pull those lasers in some very unfavourable ways. Something that i would focus would've been able to salvage but not without focus.

Nice challenge, I cleared on my 2nd try on my last life.  Died a few times to everything except fairies, shizuha's non-spell and minoriko's first spell. I wasn't even sure I would be able to do anything no focus.

I died to fairies, Shizuha's first non-spell and spellcard and a lot to Minoriko. I am not too good at no-focus movement.

EDIT: And managed to perfect the stage portion pacifist. Focused though. Minoriko was damn embarassing though so i'll shut up about how that went. Stage is easy enough though. It was just a question of working out the ideal positions throughout the stage. I can see that timing out the midboss can be tough for some though.

I end 3/0 like my original 1cc, but because of this happening despite far worse UFO control, this is a vast improvement. Highlights include surviving the stage 3 circling portion despite screwing it up, capturing Murasa's third non-spell, and capturing Radiant Treasure Gun through a strategy I've never tried before. LFO, as usual, is captured in a confusing display of frantic dodging that just so happens to always work.

I seriously wish this game would let me save replays in Practice Mode. I think the difference to my survival in this run came down to a certain blue knife redirecting itself during a time freeze, but this picture can't show that.

I noticed my score was higher than any previous attempt, but I have no idea why. :S I was simply playing for survival as well as I could, and apparently this time my score was marginally better.

Also it's worth noting that this run was after only one restart, and continued due to my resolve to not restart no matter what save a death on stage 1. So learn from that peoples. :yukkuri:
