I finally beat Ichirin on Normal! Only got hit by one fist, too (because it was either a fist or a bullet. I took the manly way out).

And didn't screw up on Nazrin's cards. Bombed just as she died again, though. :|

There's no way I just got that close. The stupid death on Catwalk was me not paying enough attention, but I captured the last nonspell for the second time, so that's cool. Who knows when I'll get the full perfect run, however.

SA Stage 4 Lunatic perfect run!

Woohoo, nice! This was arguably my most "impromptu" FIN capture ever, what with the way I handled the cutbacks, but it all worked out.

At least it can auto charge to 75% instead of 50%.

IN Easy, don't watch unless you're someone who enjoys facepalming constantly or something like that.
Advice is welcome though, since I'm trying to get good at touhou.

I managed to clear SP-9 on Double Spoiler with less than 1000 photos.

I have no idea why it took me so many shots.

Took me < 100. Isn't it just keep charging as fast as you can and make sure every photo you take catches Aya? Hatate's charge time is so short that you will take another picture before it gets too dangerous (although luck is involved).

First of all, congratulations on your achievement, although for IN, you should also beat Kaguya.
I quickly watched the replay at 240fps, and I noticed a couple of things:
1. you seem to bomb right after you die for some reason, I would advise against doing that
2. sometimes you don't need to dodge that high up or move very much at all, For example...
2a. Mystia's cards, you can get by with little movement and staying at the bottom of the screen
2b. Marisa's 2nd card is very easy if you stay at bottom center and use small movements to dodge the waves as they come.
2c. Marisa's last card on easy can be captured by standing still, and on other difficulties by very very easy streaming; I don't know why you are moving around that much
3. You don't have to dodge any bullets in Reisen's last card - just move up above the 2nd ring of blue round bullets when most of the bullets are hidden. Her first card is similar, just move up to a gap, and move down with the bullets, no dodging necessary.
4. You seem to have trouble with stages and non-cards, I'm not sure why.

Eventually I gave up on that when I saw the photo count getting close to 1000 and started just taking as many pictures as fast as possible.
It didn't actually take very long when I started doing that.

My latest attempt at SA Lunatic.

No deaths across the first four stages, which is what brings this here. But for some reason I forgot to gap in the second pellet hell, and I started losing it. My performance against Utsuho was pretty bad, even for me (died twice on UNR ). At least I broke the 1 billion benchmark, despite this not being a scorerun.

Yeah, I've been doing that since day 1 in games where you need to be at full power to be able to auto-collect stuff above the POC. It's a reflex reaction to collect all items on the screen and be at full power again... I guess I should try to get rid of that habit.
There are also times that I take too long to notice that I died and end up wasting a bomb on my next life, trying to deathbomb. It's embarrassing.  :V

I like to graze as much as possible, that's why I move around a lot. Considering that I managed to capture most of the spell cards, I don't think it's a bad idea on easy, though I guess doing that on harder difficulties might get me in trouble.

I'm a very unexperienced shmup player, so my instincts and reactions aren't fully developed yet. Most of my deaths are due to really silly mistakes.

Don't bother grazing stuff, at least until you get significantly better. There's no point unless you're scorerunning. Just try to kill stuff as fast as possible, I guess; this generally involves staying under the enemy as much as possible.

To get better, all you need is practice. I used to play IN Easy around 9 months ago or so, but now I play on Lunatic. (Improvement speed will depend on the person though.) :V

I second this. You don't have to go too crazy with it, but grazing helps you get more comfortable being so close to bullets, and doing things like slow streaming will help with practicing precision movements (trying to move as little, distance-wise, as possible).

Yeah, but not flailing around the screen to try to get a bit more graze, which is what I'm against cuz unless you are score running, it's pointless, and practicing precision movements is important like you said, as when you get to higher difficulties, unless you are really good, you won't be able to supergraze.

Even if he was score running, just get a bit more time points by not dying in stages and nonspells would tremendously help already, as although he captured 20 spell cards, he died many times in random places.

(on second thoughts, I was too used to the rice clipdeath from kanako so this probably wasn't that lucky)
Other than that, this was, well Unexpected. (The RANDOM NUMBAH GENERATOR went like freaking easy on me)

When did you get that good? Anyway, i will take a look at your run. The only part of SA Stage 5 i don't know what to do about is the part after the streaming. I always get walled.

Just memorize the spawn points of the orbs, stream the red bullets, and dodge the larger bullets.
It's easier said than done of course, but it shouldn't be that hard.

It's all streaming while dodging shit load of random dots, and unfortunately there isn't really any other way I think.
Switching direction involves moving quickly through hoards of dots and cutting back through the stream.
In normal mode it's easy, but on lunatic, :V so many dots.
