Moved up the screen too slowly. I like how Lunatic doesn't give Extend!'s until Stage 5.

There are many, many like "that one" Deathsmiles review; I've seen my fair share of COMEDY GOLD.

I really wish someone would make a BGM rip of Ban Shi Ryu. I love some of the Extra themes.

I tried doing that myself, but I couldn't figure out how to get Audacity to record what my computer was playing. :V

You can get a hidden Extend from the stage 2 boss as well.  During his last phase, shoot the nukes until they're on the verge of exploding, then stop.  When he 'dies' and they start spinning in midair, destroy them to get items.  The one to the far right drops a life, the rest drop bombs.

If all of the other ones drop bombs then I might consider using a(nother) bomb there to weaken them all simultaneously and save myself the hassle.

EDIT: 2 bombs for 2 bombs + the Extend! is probably the best low-risk approach to this so far; use bomb and move in a certain direction from a certain location, tap fire once on each of the left-most and right-most nukes, bomb the boss and done. I'll start the attempts again from tomorrow.

lol, Is Star VIVIT's bomb seriously that weak?  The nukes really don't take that much damage to blow up, from what I remember.

I always just went for the bottom three, which are pretty trivial to activate, at least with Laser VIVIT (obviously your situation might differ). 

The other funny thing about those nukes is that they overlap with the bullets, which is extremely noticeable when they're at full size.  C74's stage 2 boss is truly a wonder of terrible design.

I seriously can't use anything but VIVIT's Laser Maid shot-type in that game. Wide Maid is too weak and Hirano's Bow and Flame shot-types just feel really awkward.

Let's die 4 times on Ice palace then die once on the canyon with almost all of them being derpy..

That Ice Palace is much harder to No Death in MBL 1.1 than the Canyon is.

At least I still got to Jitterbug. And I broke the 100,000,000,000 mark, but still that run should have scored higher. Of course, going into him on your last life when your strategy pretty much involves dying to him on the final doesn't help. Almost managed to beat him but got hit with a second or two of shooting left. Of course the last bosses would have beaten me with so few lives.

I was doing well in Garegga, getting an extend on Lavagghin Mk.II and going into Madball Mk.II with three lives. Of course here I decide to suicide , and then promptly get nailed twice after that. ;_; Man, I was sure I would get to Black Heart this time.

Also apparently the fourth boss is called Satanic Surfer which is completely hilarious

EDIT: Oh yeah, I got the .inp if you want it, shadowbringer. Hoping to do a better one soon, though. :V

Another failed Garegga run; died at a random aircraft carrier, Lavagghin Mk.II and Madball Mk.II (to the lasers, no less). Ah well, got 4.4m.

Also, Ibara is really really hard. Made it to the Stage 3 boss for the first time just now. :V

meanwhile, I'm trying to learn how to play Cyvern, but I'm having serious problems trying to get a video of it on superplay.co.uk. The download stops after 20% >_<

what's these two screenshots? I've managed to do relatively well on the first stage, and milk the boss (to see if I could do that nowadays), and then the game proceeds to ruin my run shortly after, because I'm too worried about getting better multipliers, letting too much enemies come at once and then being owned because I don't know how to handle them :p

the latest fail run is saved here (emulator: lagless mame99p), with ragequit included :p

How much time do you guys think it will take for HM to be translated? Besides everyone's story modes and the whole menus, there's also the fact that the way HM's programmed is different from all other games. I bet it'll take two months.

lusvik: I don't mind about playing HM in japanese. The language of punching other people is international.

Futari Black Label is a DLC. The game you physically buy is Futari 1.5. To get Black Label you need to buy Microsoft Points (Japanese ones, I believe) in order to download it. And obviously you need 1.5 in order to have Black Label.
