iirc (from guides, not the game itself as I can only play it when/if I go to a friend who has a PS2) you gain points automatically while you're in overheat mode, destroyed enemies generate gold items (though I don't know exactly how you benefit from them or if they affect points earned from slowdown sessions), and you have apparently more firepower (not sure, though..). Some may want to play on this mode for the challenge only, too.
There are no real advantages to this mode; you gain less gold than in Kakusei and the firepower increase is the same as in Kakusei, and the point increase is pretty slow. However, you want to max out your overheat bar ASAP because it raises the amount of gems/gold enemies drop. Mainly it's just there to say 'get the hell out of Kakusei'. :P

On another note, after way too many attempts, I got a TLB clear of Ketsui X mode. :D Only one death on Doom, too; the first attack in the first phase and the second phase are toned down, but other than that it's pretty much regular Doom, including the final, so that was unexpected. Recording and uploading shortly.

Also, this. :derp:
Let's fight.

Black label original 1cc.

My control over the character is still very stiff, but it's getting better. Still need to find a good setup.

You now have 6 months to 1cc Futari Ultra.

I already 1cc'd Ultra hurr hurr.
As for the recording thing, I don't have the slightest clue how to go about that.

Wauw, the 360 is already here. That took like what? Two days?

What, where'd you order that from?

Wow, yeah. Sometimes you hear of orders from them taking anywhere between two weeks to a month. I wonder if it's because your package didn't have to cross the ocean or something. :V

Went back to the arcade today, and almost made it to ESPGaluda Stage 5. Flawless job on the first two stages, terrible Stage 3 and boss (hadn't seen most of it before), and no-missed Stage 4 up to the boss fight, which finally did me in. Whoa, I'm getting the hang of this really fast.  :3

Also played Armed Police Batrider, and I can verify that it is indeed awesome. Let ass kick together, indeed.

However, they don't have Mushi or ESPGaluda or any of that nice stuff. I might check out Play Asia, since the store I went to doesn't get imports in very often.

Also is it just me or do bullets in CAVE games have really tiny hitboxes. Because I made some absolutely ludicrous dodges when I was getting the hang of the controls.

Aaand Ketsui X Mode TLB 1cc uploaded. Stage 1, Stage 2, Stage 3, Stage 4, and Stage 5 (including Doom). I suck at the final attack. :derp: Did pretty well on the rest of Doom and Evaccania, though. X mode's Doom seems the same except for the first attack and the missile phase.
Let's fight.

Yeah, definitely, that's the most significant change. Usually I have to bomb that when it starts going full speed. The first attack is a little easier but not much different, and the rest seems the same. Odd that they wouldn't tone down the bit that makes it ridiculous in the first place. :V

Damnit Sapz stop making me want to play Ketsui.  I'm too poor to afford a Japanese 360.
Whether you're on Easy or you're a Lunatic, be damn proud of your accomplishments.  Don't let anyone convince you otherwise, for it's when you lose faith in your own achievements that those victories become defeats.

Hmmmm. First ESP.Ra.De run in five months, made it to the final boss - something I had never come close to doing before. Interesting.

Also interesting is that my final score was better than Sapz' was at the moment he beat the final boss (before the clear bonus)  :V

And remembering the hard way that when ESP.Ra.De. shows 1 life in stock it's actually zero stock made me bawww.

Starting to get to grips somewhat with Garegga. I'm still pretty bad at it, but I finally managed to stop screwing up enough to make it to Stage5, with 3.5m. I need to work on getting the hidden extend... and of course not breaking my medal chain every minute or so. :V

How much time do you guys think it will take for HM to be translated? Besides everyone's story modes and the whole menus, there's also the fact that the way HM's programmed is different from all other games. I bet it'll take two months.

I'm using Golden Bat (Wild Snail ABC). I'm controlling rank during the first two or three stages, and I let incidental deaths do the rest after that unless I have a lot of lives (which doesn't happen). I haven't been saving inputs yet, but I can start if you want to see. :]

please do, if possible; I got used to save replays everytime (if I'm using mame and the game allows it -- RFJ being one of the few games in which I don't try to save replays, because I can't skip its boot sequence).. I'll have to admit that the boot sequence in Garegga is long, but if you have spare time, I'd like to watch (because I like watching other people's styles, similarly to how I like to see the drawing styles of other people :p)

I'm trying to practice ESP Ra De and trying to download a Cyvern video (unstable internet is unstable serious precedented affair), but if you'd like, I can try to save a Garegga replay too :p
