Haven't seen that yet (and really I need to get back to watching Finale :ohdear: ). Is it worth watching? =O

It's actually not that bad for a live action series, though it is pretty dated. The last time I saw it was a few years ago back in Hong Kong when I was part of my old high school's anime club and two girls were clamoring for "NODOME CANTABILE LIVE ACTION PLZ OH MY GOD YAAAAY" and yeah. It really wasn't that bad though

I think you'll enjoy it, personally. Probably more than I did, since though I liked Nodome Cantabile it's just staying in the "like" position.

See avatar.

Spoiler:
Assuming you're talking about 298 (translations recently posted here), the Zazie Scissorhands that Negi's currently squaring off against isn't the Zazie from Negi's class. She's her 'sister', though given her clone-esque appearance and the fact that neither of them are apparently from the real or the magical world, 'sister' seems to have some other connotation to it. The Zazie inside Negi''s supposed perfect world is the 3A Zazie though.

You get to finishing that! =O

Also, have you seen Nodame Cantabile? If you haven't, you might like it as something different-- that, and it's just amazing. :V

What makes Chobits so good? I might give a watch/read(more than likely read) if you can convince me. In terms of Clamp works I've read TRC and am reading xxxHolic. I also saw Cardcaptors when I was little, but I'm thinking it doen't count.

Also, is there an anime version of bakaupdates? Or does adking such a question go against the rules?

Cardcaptors is the sad, butchered remnants of the original godtier Cardcaptor Sakura, which is my all-time favorite series.

Chobits is good because it has a good balance of everything, ranging from comedy to fanservice to romance and so on. The music is nice, and the animation is pretty great as well. As for myself, it was the show that made me an anime fan. :3

Since I don't know what bakaupdates is, I'm gonna simply say 'if you have to ask, you're better off not asking'. :P

Yeah, that's why I had had a feeling it didn't count. I can't hate it though, it was my first anime and I loved it(I was 4, give me a break.) I was so disappointed when it stopped showing episodes, but eventually I moved on to yu-gi-oh. I plan to read the manga though(12 novels right,)

Hmmm...what about the manga? Does it have all the things the anime has? I prefer manga as it's less time consuming. If it comes down to it though, I'll watch the anime.

Also, I just found out baka updates keeps track of anime too, so I guess I answered the question myself.

The manga has things the anime doesn't have, and vice-versa.

Honestly, I recommend looking into both, as the manga was as lovely as the anime was, if you ask me. They seem to fill in each other's blanks.

EDIT: I'm referring to Chobits there. >_>

EDIT2: And yeah, CCS is 12 volumes.

I haven't read those yet though, despite owning 9 of them. Maybe part of me is waiting to stop being lazy and pick up the three I don't have? :P

Then I'll alternate(ch.1-2, episode 1, ch.3-4, episode 2) BV

Oh, good. That won't take too long then. I think I had the 1st volume somewhere...

Just finished watching Working!!, and I found it really good. It had more plot to it than I was expecting and even quite a bit of romance. Problem now is I have nothing to watch, so I was thinking about watching Chobits since I never got around to it, but before I start watching it, I need to know how often and how far does the ecchi go in it? The only computer in the house is this desktop in the living room so yeah, don't want to watch something too crazy... (basically the reason I haven't watch Elfen Leid and other anime that have a lot of ecchi)

Mrrrrrr, I like Chobits, and I don't like ecchi stuff at all. So take that as you will-- in other words, it's there, but it's pretty tame and not explicit. That said, there are plenty of scenes that I wouldn't want to watch with the rest of my family-- but the not-family-friendly stuff is mainly in innuendo and concept. (
Spoiler:
Chii's 'on' switch is in... um, a rather unmentionable place. There's a logical reason for this, but still >_>;
) Perhaps you're better off watching it when people aren't around? The deeper story behind the series outweighs my dislike for the perverted stuff. That, and it's a cute love story overall. I'm a sucker for romance, especially when it's done in an unconventional way. :3

(Maybe you could read the manga first to get an idea for what you're in for.)

One of the best parts of Chobits (and CCS, for that matter) is the huge amount of official highres CLAMP art there is for it, though. It's incredible. :*

I for one, thought it was well executed.
although a very typical trope is being attached with this series: which is the L4D style trope as far as I am concerned:
1. it is almost certain that when a zombie apocalypse happens, you will find troves of heavy weapons ON THE STREETS, or that your teacher/friends will have a friend in the military who has access to the weapons rooms in an airbase or military base, with weapons in them NOT YET taken out by military for use in the beginning of the zombie apocalypse to control the situation.

2. It is almost certain that all military, despite their well trained, well executed, well disciplined asses, that they will fail in their containment and control. It is always up to the few civilians and maybe the town sheriff who's daily job includes humping his neighbour's wife to detonate a nuclear bomb that will save the world as we know it. (and survives to tell the tale).

3. It is almost always certain, that despite the chaotic overrun of zombies, the cliche team of civilians battling to save their asses from certain death and infection never gets infected, even when they are hurt by zombies.

Meh, I don't follow tropes... Too nitpicky and complicated to keep track of.

And the guy who humps his neighbor's wife? Oh my yuriromance.... (I still gotta sub that, yo)

Also, random black girl in HotD EP. 5!? Pleasant surprise, but she got thrown off the bridge by the water in less than five minutes! WHAT A WASTE!!!

I think I forgot the reason for the placement of Chi's switch?

Well, I forgot, but in a nutshell I think I ended up concluding that Hideki was going to stay a virgin forever or something.
It's been quite a while since I saw it.

But yes, I read the manga first and then the Anime. I enjoyed both pretty much equally. Not like Elfen Lied where the Anime was ABSOLUTE CRAP compared to the Manga.

The story is incredible, and the apartment owner girl is quite cute. Also, Minori (Is that the kid's name?) is really cool.

Take it from two people who watched the show and are total suckers for romance.

Well, if I recall properly, and correct me if I'm wrong (I've watched the series a few times, but it's been a long time)...

Spoiler:
After seeing what happened to Freya, Hibiya relocated Chii (then named Elda)'s switch, so if someone other than 'The Person Just For Me' happened to try to have his way with her, she would reset and have no memory of the event, or anything at all, for that matter, or something like that. However, that doesn't help me remember why Chii freaked out and started attacking what's-his-name when he kidnapped her and tried to touch her there. I need to refresh my memory. >_>

That said, it can be implied that Hideki did choose the life of a virgin for Chii's sake.

That's fine. Now, one last post before I go to sleep:

The overarching theme (I love doing these things with shows)
Spoiler:
Is it acceptable to fall in love with something human, yet if it is not human?
The uncanny valley, a term in psychology used to describe a situation where humans will reject something because it is so human-like, despite not being human, in this case, it is artificial and finite, bound by it's own architecture.

Yeah, it got me thinking about the same thing. I remember making a thread about artificial intelligence at a different forum when I had finished the series for the first time. I got some pretty interesting responses in regards to romance with something that looks human, acts human, functions like a human, yet is not human. :3

If you enjoyed the Anime, you will enjoy the Manga FAR MORE.

There's a lot more story and things that the show doesn't cover. I do, however, have my favorite scenes in the show. Especially where someone gets a FALCON PUNCH to the face.
