Excellent.

Man, the end of Kanon is not something you want to watch if you're depressed. :(

Baity: For a moment, I thought you broke 1.1billion. Upon looking at my score.dat, I can assume that you destroyed the score that is my failed (first!) 1cc attempt on my first day of playing. Congratulations.

And the end of After Story is not something you want to watch if your IQ is over 70.

Wasn't that just some sappy add-on to the already inferior 2002 version?

I saw that a few years ago.  I'll watch it again eventually.

It is a really nice show, it's pretty slow and calm - the most action you'll get is probably cooking or chasing birds.

Take me on a rocket ride.

Damn I love that show. Download the Hanenone and Seinaru Doukei OST Discs too - They're quite enjoyable. Lots of Choral Action in SD.

Damn I'm Bored. So I think I'll quote an old friend on Angel Beats. (Not my opinion)

All in all AB is like watching videos online of a retarded kid in a wheelchair drive off a pier. It?s incredibly stupid and sort of makes you feel bad about it, but deep down inside you can?t help being amused. Also, before you go praising its OP, let me just break it for ya: The OP song fucking sucks. The melody is nice but Lia is pretty much singing out of her ass.

JT: Be warned - Grave of the Fireflies is really, really depressing. Like an orphan's puppy dying of cancer level of depressing. And the animation is a tad underpar, compared to the studio's other films. Spirited Away, though, is probably Ghibli's masterpiece. I'd also recommend Howl's Moving Castle.

Well, Grave of the Fireflies wasn't directed by Miyazaki, so that may be why the quality is a bit lacking. It's quite different from the other films, much more mature and emotional, less flying things.

That's not quite the case. Whisper of the Heart wasn't directed by Miyazaki, and it's fantastic as far as animation goes.

That said, the story behind it (about the director, especially) is absolutely heartbreaking. ;;

Anyone else seen The Tatami Galaxy?

I highly recommend it. Pretty much it's about this guy looking for the "rose-colored campus life" and each episode goes through his entire college career, him making a different decision every time.

Different director from Grave of the Fireflies. Kondo is quite amazing. He died so young.  :(

I listened to the OST discs a bit and I've been meaning to buy them, they are indeed quite nice.

Saw another disc of The Adventures of Tweeny Witches/ Magical Girl Squad Alice.  It's a very interesting show.

My wife has called Arakawa the best anime she's ever seen. That's a bold statement, but it's certainly the best in a long time, as far as romantic comedies go. If Season 2 maintains the momentum, it could easily surpass Toradora. Which isn't a wholly fair comparison, I know, given how different they are - Toradora has a deeper personal connection between our young lovers than Arakawa, I feel, but Arakawa's supporting cast is more interesting than Toradora's, on top of Arakawa's social commentary (e.g., societal status, father/son relationships, what it means to depend on someone, etc.). I really hope Season 2 keeps that going.

I finished watching through The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya today. I don't care how late I am it was excellent, my only gripe with it was that the final episode pretty much put the story to a screeching halt.

You mean the season 1 re-air (1.5), because there is no season 2.

Isn't the Endless Eight arc and those other episodes they released last summer considered Season 2?

Apparently, Thomas the Tank Engine isn't one to take crap from anyone.

Yes, even though all it does is provide more backstory for things that happened in Season 1.

Man what a let-down "Season 2" was.
