Was the dog planted there by someone else?

As a prank?

Was the dog Momiji? (which would make sense if Kogasa was indeed the culprit)

I would think if Kogasa was the culprit she'd hide inside the luggage herself. :V

Did the Diva open the luggage?

Was the dog the kind that smell for drugs and illegal stuff?

Did the Diva had anything illegal on her?

Does ta gender of ta dog's past owner matter?
For that matter, does anything else about him/her, besides that s/he knows the Diva matter?
Does ta Diva have something, be it good or bad, towards canines?
Did ta past owner know about that?
Do ta canine's characteristics matter?

My guess is, some fan of ta Diva decided ta give her a gift, and as all fans do, knew that she was getting off a flight. So, ta fan took her luggage while it was on one of those big spinny-luggage-holding things, put a dog in, put the luggage back on ta spinny-luggage-holding thing, and left. Ta Diva didn't expect anything out of ta norm ta be in her luggage, and either fainted from surprise, or was scared of dogs and fainted because of that.

I don't recall a mention of more than one dog because everyone has been referring to it as "a dog" or "the dog". Both of these are singular.

Is there more than one dog?

Is the dog in the luggage dead?

As a dog lover, the Diva used to own a pet dog that eventually died. A fan of hers decided to buy her a dog that looked like her old dog to make her happy, and sneaked it into her luggage. So when Momiji jumped out as the Diva opened the luggage, the Diva thought her dog came back to life, she then fainted due to shock/happiness.

Has the Diva lost her dog before?

If yes, did she try to find it? By advertising it somewhere?

Did the one who put in Momiji thought the dog was the dead one the Diva had?

If yes, did the person put Momiji as an attempt to return the dog to the Diva?

All stupid speculation here that I doubt is correct, but wouldn't hurt ta try  :)

Ta Diva was a Diva, and, consequently, very busy in life. She loved dogs and owned one. However, due to her responsibilities, she was not able to properly take care of her dog. Her dog then died from this lack of care (maybe abuse?).
Later, someone (maybe an animal rights activist? :V) who knew that the Diva's dog was dead, put it into her luggage after the flight and went away. The Diva, upon arriving after her flight, opened up her luggage and saw her pet dog there, who jumped up at her. With her reputation being threatened due ta her past miscare possibly being revealed, and ta dog itself being alive, caused her ta become overcome with shock and thus fainted.

Because I know that's not right, more questions:

Did ta DIva do something bad like that ta her dead dog?
Are ta profession/role/qualities of ta person relevant? Or could s/he just have been anyone?
Is ta Diva 100% certain that her dead dog was, indeed, dead?
Is ta time of ta dead dog's death relevant?

NO. Correct parts are marked red, blue parts are either irrelevant or incorrect.

Bad like what? She didn't abuse it, NO

YES

YES. The dog the diva owned is as dead as a dead dog can be.

YES. Let's say it died before the flight.

I had to read that one three times to get it right (O_O). Anyway, NO. The relevance of the woman being a diva is that the other person knows her for her fame.

Do we need to know any more about the person's ocupation other than that the person worked at the airport?

Is the origins of the living dog relevant? Or at least, do we need to know where the airport worker got it?

Was the living dog on the flight? How about the dead one?

Did the airport worker thought the living dog was dead?
