I died on Icicle Fall - Easy!!

OK, I lied.

I completed Imperishable Night with all four pairings before I realised changing the partner could allow you to pass certain bullets without taking a hit.  This comes probably second, however, to the countless times I have gone `I wonder if it is safe to touch tha...*splat*'.  I really should have got the idea by now: it is NEVER safe to touch anything in a danmaku battle

Oh, I just remembered my worst.  Shoot the Bullet, vs Cirno.  I just took the second last shot on her final spellcard and managed to get all but a single bullet (which was behind me) into the frame.  I them immediately moved back... oops!

About a week ago, I was on top of the world as I was consistently clearing EoSD Extra over and over.  Now, I can't even come close anymore.  Ugh....I need to get my performance back up to speed.

And a big derp moment:  A few weeks ago, I decided to give Utsuho another go on Normal Practice Start.  I can normally beat her with only 2-3 lost lives.  But this time, I lost EIGHT lives!!!  (one of them was lost to Orin's mid-boss spell card *facepalm*)  I made a CRAPLOAD of stupid mistakes, and I was completely appalled at how I nearly lost all of my lives......on a PRACTICE START!!!!! 
(fortunately, I managed to redeem myself by IMMEDIATELY retrying the stage and finishing with only two lost lives :3)

...completely forgot she had midspells. Not like I forgot how to do them, I COMPLETELY FORGOT THEY EXISTED, meaning I died on all of them and was dead by Scarlet Meister. It was just...ridiculous. Seriously like what the fuck

I have absolutely no idea how some people manage to capture any one of Mokou's spell cards with a single exception. No idea. I get the patterns, but the bullet spam and dodging skill required for that junk is ten times of what it is for Suwako. Even with the easier stage and the fact that I've become FAR better at dodging Mokou's non-spells.

HOWEVER, I have no idea how to fail Xu Fu's Dimension. NO IDEA. How many times do I have to crash into an amulet for it to register? All I do is sit where the outer wall of amulets generate and dodge a single slowly moving line of bullets. If Mokou just used that spell card eighteen times or whatever, I would've beaten her more than a year ago when I originally 1cc'd IN.

Aside from that, most of her spellcards have a small trick that makes them significantly easier. Stuff like Flying Phoenix, Honest Man's Death, and (to a lesser extent) Possessed by Phoenix and Hourai Doll, for example.

I find Suwako, which I haven't beaten yet, a bit harder than Mokou, which I've cleared like 15 times.

Half of Mokou's cards are loleasy, like Flying Phoenix (misdirect aimed birds), Flaw of Forgiving Shrine (sit in one place and capture!), Xu Fu Dimension (amulet hitbox ftw!), Honest Man's Death (run into laser and live!), Possessed by Phoenix phase 1 and 3 (easiest survival I've ever seen), Hourai Doll phase 1 (can be done eyes closed)

I've done just that on her second spellcard yesterday  :ohdear: PCB seems to have a bigger window between the time you get the bonus and the time the bullets are cleared.

I'm pretty confident on all of Keine's cards except Everlasting Phoenix Tails... but that only means I keep messing up on Keine, the second half of the stage fairy spam, and her last non-cards (not just the Rings of Doom).

Lessee, so far I have:

Phoenix Tail is a dodge card and I've had better luck on that one than the others and that means trouble. Flying Phoenix I JUST caught which seemed more of a fluke than anything. Iwakasa's curse I suck at for whatever reason. Forgiving Shrine I always screw up exactly once. Honest Man's Death requires a LOT of bullet path crossing that I'm not comfortable with since I die a lot on stuff I'm not comfortable with. I am improving on that and her Woo spell card or whatever it is. I've gotten to Fujiyama Volcano twice. I've either been pinned to a corner or earned my Medal of Honor by throwing myself on Mokou's firebombs.

I lost Story Mode in Hisoutensoku because my left key broked.
I lost millions of lifes because my dog barked and startled me.
I was hit by Cirno in Normal Mode. I was so ashamed that i gave up on playing.

Yup. Definitely the best PCB player ever.

Don't think I'm serious about this, or that I'm bashing him for 1ccing with more than default lives. I just chuckled a bit on the inside seeing this.

Which lets you win after a while, so that's not an excuse. Story mode is balanced for that, believe it or not. (actually, it's poorly balanced: it's a bit too easy unless you're gimping yourself with a char that doesn't fit your playstyle.)


By the way, I just tried that elusive Yuka 1cc again a few days ago.

Still trying to perfect SA Stage 5 Hard. First try of the day, I perfected the stage portion. I just perfected the stage portion cold. That never happens.

I then proceeded to die on the second wave of Orin's opener.
