And can someone explain why my capture rate for Source of Rains is only half my capture rate for Virtue of Wind God - that is including timeout attempts for Virtue of Wind God? Its kinda weird.

I've only captured Source of Rains twice on any difficulty (and that would be Lunatic because of lolMarisaCVoWG silliness) but then my Lunatic ratio of captures between VoWG and Source of Rains would be about...

It`s that bad? Well, the lack of focus might feel wrong and I heard that extra boss is full of shit, but otherwise, I find the game okay. And it has Mima-sama as final boss. Just the stage parts feel a bit too long for me. And I think the bombs have some kind of lag - I`m sure I pressed the button before getting hit  few times and still died. On my last normal run I defeated Mima at 0/1...on my last continue. When Mima said "Weak doesn't even describe it...If we go on like this, you'll end up dead for sure...", it felt like a bitchslap  :colonveeplusalpha:.

You'll die a lot in your first several runs, but as you learn how to move you'll quickly see that it's the easiest Touhou game. Don't listen to Zengeku when he says HRtP and PoDD suck though, 'cause they don't.

Don't listen to Zengeku when he says HRtP and PoDD suck though, 'cause they don't.

SoEW still makes me chaindeath on Easy. Marisa is an awful boss as well...just as bad as the 2 loliplanes from Seihou. EES looks pretty fun though

PoDD first tricked me by thinking default is Normal, being happy I almost 1cc'd normal on my first attempt and then I saw Easy.

Tried lunatic, got chaintackled by the ghosts before anything happened.

Fuck. Two deaths on Yumeko that shouldn`t happen fucked up my 1cc Normal MS. Two derps on Alice, one on Yuki & Mai IIRC, 3 on Yumeko with bombs due to stupid misreads. I wasn`t even sure what the hell hit me. When I will learn that Yumeko deserves to bombspam the shit our of her... Got to Shinki on last life and played extremely well on her all the way to those goddamned homing lights (?) I have no idea how to handle. One more life and I would likely make it...

EDIT: What the fuck? Felt like playing LLS, but this time on hard. Made it to S4 without losing a life. I was astonished that there was almost no difference between Normal and Hard. I still had 5 lives by the end of stage part, then Reimu happened... Still, LLS is so far the easiest Touhou game for me (and not by a little), in contrast to a little bit brutal MS. Anyone else feels the same way? Oh, and made it all the way to Byakuren on Normal today. 0/0, died on 1st card. My conclusion is: the more recent a Touhou game is, the more you`ll get raped by it.

Touhou IN Extra.

Stage went mostly fine before Keine. Capped Old History and Returning Bridge, but got hit on New History, which is relatively normal. Died stupidly on the stage because I tried to learn how to autocollect at the fast streaming part, but getting to Mokou at 4/3 with one extra life pending isn't too bad.

-Got hit once on Curse of Tsuki Iwakasa, but I don't normally capture the card so that's fine I guess.
-Got hit on Flying Phoenix because I didn't get out of the way of a phoenix.
-Died on nonspell #3 without deathbombing. Dunno how.
-Got hit on nonspell #5.
-Somehow thought Wu was after that and went up right below Mokou in anticipation. Luckily I reacted quickly enough to drop a bomb and go back the hell down and finish the card.
-On actual Wu. Got hit three times. Wee.
-Rings of Death are Rings of Death. Fujiyama Volcano is Fujiyama Volcano. Two bombs, one deathbomb, one death.
-Since I suck badly at tapping on Phase 2 of Possessed by Phoenix, I decided to do it the old-fashioned running in circle style. Turns out I suck even more at that. Got hit three times resulting in one death.
-On the bright side, I managed to get my first Hourai Doll capture in an actual run. Only 6 cards still; no Imperishable Shooting for me.

Imperishable Night Lunatic run. 4 deaths. A pretty run-of-the mill run with mistakes all the wrong places. Bombs at Reisens 1st spellcard and 2nd non-spell for example? I think i need to have my Touhou-player license revoked. 

Also failed at both Keine's midboss spell and her final spellcard (the one with the red lasers, not her last spell). Things i normally find absolutely trivial.

And failed Rising World with 15 seconds left. That's almost immediately. All those things factored in to prevent me to get that 3 billion run.

Well, not bad considering the amount of time it has been since last i played IN. Just a little sad to get another one of those 2.9 billion clears.

Looking at it closer, since that appears to be one of Star Sapphire's non-spells I might have also guessed that you got hit while trying to graze the beginning of the attack for an instant freeze recharge.  I guess you rammed her when getting close to do just that :ohdear:

I went to practice mode to check and it seems that you are correct. It sometimes acts pretty nasty on you. I tried to time it out and i couldn't go beyond 1-death timeouts. Sometimes she will trap you. That just haven't happened to me in a long long while so i underestimated what the attack could do if the RNG acts up.

Now i wonder if there is some way to predict where the gaps will be... there probably is but my chances of figuring it out is probably = 0

Another thing that contributed to my underestimation of the attack is probably how loleazy the rest of the fight is. Except for that last spell. I have no idea how to capture that one consistently.

Had the most terribad Satori fight in a long while which makes me sad.
Died at pretty much everything. At least i managed to capture Flying Insects Nest. The only other spell i captured was BoWaP but that's not hard for me so its nothing special.

The rest of the fight was so stupid. Died by ramming things, died at the non-spells. Not through clipping but through running into bullets. When standing still would mean dodging them. And i failed the non-recollection spell too. By not moving. Glad nobody saw that.

You most definitely are. Sometimes when i play Imperishable Night i get hit after the boss explodes but the result is similar to touching bullets during post-death/bomb invulnerability. The bullet just disappeared.

Never happened to me. Are you sure she was exploding? You might want to wait just a couple seconds then. Its not like picking up items must be done immediately as they drop. It takes them quite a few seconds to float off-screen.

Well, I was already under post-death invulnerability when I beat her, so maybe that wore of and that made me vulnerable somehow. It never happened to anyone else?   :/

Today was one of those days where no connection between hands and brain was evident. She wide open gap there? Yes. Go through it? Nah. Lets instead go join those cozy-looking and normally easily dodged bullets over there. Bugger!

I lost to Mokou's last three non-spells. The final is understandable but the other two isn't really.
I lost to Hollow Giant "Woo". I still don't understand how that happened.
I lost to Fujiyama Volcano. Meh.

Its one of those battles where you only capture the outright pathetic and the stuff that's just trick-based. How meh can things possibly get?

(I do sometimes bomb 1st spell, you know to speed things up. Kanako's positioning can/will make things take forever)

Since I decided I WILL at least get to Utsuho on normal someday I tried this evening, everything was going fine and even captured all of Parsee's cards, keeping all of my lives.
Then I stroll through stage three losing one life to Yuugi midboss spell "no biggie" I think since I hardly ever capture that card anyway. Then I derp up and manages to lose one life before Yuugi restart and then just fail at Yuugi boss  :derp:

It might not sound like much but my deaths were STUPID just...just...bleh
