>You examine the coin. It seems to be a standard Gensokyoan ☼, minted in 1989. You do not see any unusual markings on it.
>The foliage to the east is pretty thick, you don't think you'll be able to get through it without a lot of effort, or a machete.

> Go northwest then.

>You head Northwest.
>It is not easy going, as the underbrush is not exactly accomodating to transit, but you push your way through well enough.  Thankfully you don't encounter any more snakes along the way. After a bit of time, you find yourself back at the flower field.
>The trees are not so thick here,  more like the woods you've seen a couple of times in the park. There are flowers absolutely everywhere here; carpeting the ground and seeming to even drown out the grass, more kinds than you can name. The bees are pretty common here; you can see a few more hives in the trees. Looking to the west, you can catch little glimpses of the city in the distance.  Obvious exits North, South, East, and West.

> Continue northwest.

>You pick your way through through flower beds are carefully as you can.
>You leave the forest behind, as you come to the mountain. You find yourself having to go more north than northwest.
>You don't have any real experience with mountains, but from what you hear, Mount Scarlet is not very impressive as they go. It certainly doesn't look that way, compared to the pictures you've seen of places like the Himalayas. it's not very tall and it's kinda of squat-looking, you think, and doesn't seem all that hard to just walk up. It's covered with forest, though you can see a cliff face here or there. At a glance, it doesn't seem to be developed at all, but you imagine there are probably weather stations and things. Further north, along the edge of the mountain, you can see fields of flowers  along the edge of the forest there. Obvious exits are North, East, South, and West.

>Go as far east as the Island allows.

>You are a little irked. Who would have known it would be so hard to find a shrine that most people don't even knows exists!?
>You are Northwest of the city; mostly west. The forest is to the south of you. You probably aren't too long of a walk from the offramp where Usami Investigations is from here.
>You have no skill in channeling, but given what you've seen, you are much less likely to write them off as shysters now...
>Make me.
>You decide to keep going east, skirting around the edge of the forest. For most of the way, the flowers are rather prominent. Then they begin to fade off. It doesn't take too long to reach the eastern edge of the island, where you encounter a long stretch of beach. It is mostly unspoiled, but you can see where bits of debris have washed up on shore from time to time. Still, the sand is clean and the area is empty. A few gulls whirl and place overhead. To the east, you see the huge, empty expanse of the Pacific Ocean, and what seems to be a few fishing boats far in the distance. To the west, a couple dozen yards away, you can where the forest begins. You're pretty sure it is against the law for people to play on this beach, but there should be no issue with just passing through. Obvious exits are North, South, and West.

>You give the gulls the finger. Fuck them. Crows would take their retard asses to school any day of the week. There's  reason why they don't go inland, and that reason is crows.
>The last one would be on the South eastern part of the forest, not too far from the fields. That would be southwest of here.

>At least we're getting a good workout, eh?

>Well, at least you got to explore the forest, and see a snake! And a whole lot of flowers. And a...thing that is most certainly extranormal.
>Shudder.
>You head southwest, leaving the beach behind and soon plunging back into the Forest. The gloominess and sounds of insects aren't quite so alien anymore, but you still feel rather out of place among all this nature.
>Soon, you come to a pond. It is maybe thirty or so feet in diameter, and covered with a layer of scum. At least, you wonder if it is polluted, but you imagine it is probably just stagnant. A small, slow-moving stream to the north seems to feed it. Insects flit over its surface, and you think you pick out a couple of frogs lingering around. The foliage here is pretty thick, but you think you can push through it in a few spots. Obvious exists are North, East, and South.

>You follow the back of the building to the nearest corner and peak around.
>You see the building is designed along old Japanese style, and made entirely of wood that seems to have been here for awhile. Peeking around the corner, you see a faded old torii, small enough you could easily grab onto it while walking under it. The grounds are fairly open, but a few large trees shade the ground in the forest's gloom. You notice small shed off to the side, looking rickety enough to fall over with a good kick, and a motor scooter leaning against the side of the shrine itself. Obvious exits are North and South.

>Reduce threat presentation by getting into the open a bit, then call out, "Hello?"

>You step around the building and call out "Hello?" There doesn't seem to be an answer.
>Stepping into the grounds, you see the shrine is pretty small compared to the other two you've seen; you doubt it's any larger than where you live. Looking around, you don't see many other things to even suggest this is a shrine; the building isn't decorated, there's no shimenawa around, or anything like that. There is an old donation box by the door.
>The front door opens, and a dark-haired woman in some sort of service uniform looks at you suspiciously. "Who the hell are you?"

>You describe things as you saw them, while Reimu looks at you with crossed arms and a frown. As you talk about the thing you saw, she raises an eyebrow. "Huh. Well, that's weird. Sure you didn't eat something bad?" While her words are a little harsh, it doesn't sound like her heart's in it anymore.
