I accidentally killed Momiji too soon, meaning I had a long time of Post Momiji Bullshit to dodge. So yeah, this run includes a capture of that as well.
Oh and I kind of luckshitted my way through a bit on the last seconds of Peerless Wind God.  :V

And with this I perfected the entirety of MoF!  :toot:

But seriously, that's pretty awesome. Both the whole-game-perfect and just the fact that it's Stage 4. The stage with Momiji, the pre and post momizi bullcrap walls, and Peerless Wind God... even though the rest of the stuff isn't much difficult, all those in one thing means DAMN.

Haven't been able to play much Touhou since April. The keyboard on my new laptop sucks and won't let me move diagonally while I press Z (actually, I can go up-right and down-left but not up-left or down-right  :/)

So to pass the time I'm doing crappy no-vertical runs of stages that don't have horizontal bullets. Up to now I've done these.

You might want to remap the movement keys somewhere else.

MoF Stage 5 Lunatic perfect run.

About damn time. Even though I'm technically not done with this game, I've had enough of this game's RNG screwing me over for now. Time to move on and let another game's RNG screw me over for a while. :V

Also, perfect Ichirin on Hard.

I suppose King Kraken Strike is the only thing of hers that's consistently hard, but I can never get myself to "relax" during the other attacks either. The rest of the stage was ND1BNUFO - I bombed because I got myself walled past midboss-Ichirin. So close to a true perfect run, but I don't have the motivation to go for it right now. I would also feel like trying for a Hard 1cc now too, if Stage 5 didn't randomly destroy me in such random ways.

Anyway, learning how to mostly eliminate lag from Next and the power of savestates allowed me to fight Mima over and over. I decided a no deaths run would be too wimpy, so...

Sadly, though the slowdown is eliminated, it's still impossible to record Next without massive slowdown, so I can't show anyone my accomplishment. ;_;

Actually, I can consistently get to Kanako on Lunatic (with lulzy MarisaC), and aside from the opener and Source of Rains (and occasionally the second and third card), she's ijji mode, too... so...

I don't really remember this so well and i'm too lazy to read through 1200+ posts of mine but i'm quite sure i destroyed UFO Hard almost immediately as well. Even recently, i decided i'd do a random clear following somebody's advice of playing on Hard if Lunatic was too much and i cleared the game with several lives in stuck despite a huge range of stupid mistakes.

UFO Hard shouldn't be too much for those who've cleared Touhou's on Lunatic.

Admittedly, I haven't even tried UFO Hard Story Mode in a few months. BUT, I didn't bother because I knew I was still way too inconsistent at Stages 3 to 6. If I keep dying in the weirdest spots for the stupidest reasons, then I can't trust myself to be able to link decent stage runs together in Story Mode. Even now I'm still not totally consistent, but I do know the levels better than ever. Then again, trying to use to UFO system will call for a totally different playstyle from me, so I'm concerned it'll bring me back to the "totally inconsistent" phase, in spite of whatever work I've done recently. Might as well give it a shot to see where I stand.

Stage 3 in UFO doesn't really take off before Lunatic in my opinion. The streaming fairies are much easier to deal with and i just now managed to do a 1DNB run of the stage including the boss. The death is actually really embarassing. A pretty bad reading error but nothing that changes my mind at all about UFO Hard being so easy that its not very interesting to play.

Stage 3 on Lunatic on the other hand gets much more difficult. And not in the good way like in PCB or something but in the bad way where memorization and weird counter-intuitive strategies is key.

Also some things StB related. After crying over MoF Phantasm Controls i decided to play StB and went straight to 10-8. It was a little annoying to begin with as i had to readjust to StB Aya's controls but at least those controls worked. I'd say that Momizi butchers that attack. Its not even as pretty as before and the MoF Phantasm remix of Wind God Girl sucks. (Imo of course).

I also tried timing out BoWaP Stb Version. Needless to say, it didn't go too well. I could hardly ever survive more than 40 seconds of it before Yukari would throw a very dense bullet wall that i have only been able to go through on very rare occasions. Not a challenge i'm up for but the experience make me wonder why i've heard so much infamy about this card. Really, if you are taking photos its ridiculously easy. Photo's destroy the only threatening part of the card. The dense wall that can't be moved around.

I just found something out about Devil's Recition classic that made me go "what" and no lag to actually test it would be nice.

I'd link you to the big long post, but what made a difference was to go to device manager, enable the thing called "RS232C.NHW," and under that thing's settings, uncheck "port setting fixed." I have no idea what any of that means, but it removed the lag in Mima's fight if nothing else. Checking my other savestates it still slows a lot on EX Alice's last attacks, and I haven't checked anything else, but...

Shou's 2nd non-spell 1DNB timeout. I think i'm starting to improve at this. If i can just perfect Shou, Kogasa shouldn't be too problematic and then i'll have perfected quite a respectable amount of bosses in UFO.

I may not want to 1cc it but a large amount of unperfected bosses still haunt me.
