I decided to try UFO after months of hating it. Practice Stage 6 on Normal. First try, NDNB; captured Flying Fantastica for the first time *ever*. wtf?

edit: Oh that might explain it, for some reason it was running at 55fps. :/

edit2: I captured it again at 60fps, so maybe not...

I've gained the ability to slip through the amulet walls in VoWG (not consistent yet, but better than before). The next step toward timing this card out NDNB is underway...

MoF Extra Stage cleared! Twice! Died twice retardedly to Froggy Braves the Elements after a really good cap run, but Everything else worked out. I will also never understand how you do Red Frog or... Ancient Fate Linked by Cedars. :fail: There, I admit it. A nice run on Suwako, and not that bomb-heavy. More proof that I'm getting a bit better.

I have to say, this was the least enjoyable extra stage for me so far. The stage/nonspell portions felt like an early prototype of PCB extra, and of the spellcards, only Starbow Break stood out as particularly fun/interesting.

Now, should I do Mokou next, or work on one of the PC98 titles?

EDIT: Also. My first ever Hard 1cc. Tonight has been very productive, it seems.

I actually didn't bomb spam through Nazrin and Shou on UFO Hard, defeat them with just 3 lives and 2 bombs, when I couldn't with 6 lives :V

Mokou with the Scarlet Team. Since for Extra, they're better than Border in almost every aspect except not being able to cheap out the (easy+static) deathfairy.

With the exception of Fujiyama Volcano, Possessed by Phoenix, and Hourai Doll, you shouldn't need to Spell Practice.

Mokou is quite simple and you should easily cap at least 5-6 of her spells (Fujiyama Volcano might drain your lives though),
and the stage portion is the easiest imo (except for Keine which is a bit annoying).

I find Flandre just a bit harder (QED being way harder than Horai Doll)

It does get more obvious than that if you spam a youtube link instead.  I'm also guilty of having completely missed this accomplishment, probably because I have a really bad tendency to see a replay link and decide I'm too lazy to click it, download it, move it to the appropriate folder, and open up the game to watch it (especially for your DS replays, due to a combination of "don't care about that game" and "where the hell is that damn replay folder?").

Make a shortcut to your replay folder and stick it in your Double Spoiler folder or somewhere. Also, the main reason why I upload videos of Scenes in a semi-random pattern.

On that note, it does fill me with relief and lets me regain a lot of self-confidence back when superplayers complain about scoring in selected areas.

EDIT: Speaking of replay folders, I should go and organize all of them. Especially UFOs since that has replays flowing out of it, counting from 100 and rising.

Latest in failing at EoSD by still reaching the same points I did before I actually 1cced anything else on Lunatic! Why. ):

Scarlet Gensokyo, 1 bomb left. Use the bomb when she still has 4/5th HP. When she's got about 1/8th, I miraculously dodge a total wall.

When she has only the tiniest smidge of HP left, I die to the only bullet ANYWHERE near me at all.

Just captured LFO, which means I've captured every spellcard on Lunatic at least once apart from PSM and Vajra. Also discovered Murasa's third card is a joke if you actually use your eyes instead of just praying (though her non-spell is anything but... anyone got a replay?).

No no no no, you got your advertising all wrong. First you need to use obnoxiously large lettersLIKE THIS and then paint it all red and remember to type what you did. As i followed your link and found your replay links i didn't even notice that they all went the same place. Not before looking through the topic again after failing to find the timeout. I just figured it was a bunch of StB replays or something like that.

Also... i only used about 320 attempts to do it which means that i did it faster than Baity, omg doing anything faster than Baity must be an accomplishment of its own.  :toot:

Now for something completely different. I decided i wanted to mess around with some danmakufu scripts. I downloaded the Vs. Iku Nagae script and the EosD Final Last Words. I capped the last words pretty fast (except for Chromatic Reflection, i think it was called, which took quite some effort.) and have capped pretty much everything on Lunatic in Iku. Its pretty fun despite control lag. (Can't get that damn vsync working... grr...)

Thumps up to Onthenet and Johnny Walker. They know what they are doing and they're creative.

I played meself some UFO Lunatic. Now i know that for a guy like me who can't find love for the game despite my best efforts to the contrary (really, i want to like it. I just cannot), playing the game is like poking at the hornet's nest. You are asking for pain. And i died. A lot. But i still managed to salvage something somewhat good about it.

Murasa 3rd non-spell captured with 1xx power. (I don't think i have capped it before at all...) and a capture Radiant Treasure Gun as well as Shou's non-spells. Too bad she then decides to kill me with all her other spellcards... (VoPB at the final split-second i might add)

Embarassingly enough i died at Aura of Light too. Maybe its for the better that i didn't capture the rest of her cards. I don't want a pseudo-perfect Shou battle that only lacks Aura of Light.
