Touhou 8: Perfect Cherry Blossom Update 1.00a and 1.00b Failure

I recently imported PCB from Japan and loved it;. When I heard wanted to update the game, I downloaded the 1.00a and 1.00b updates from ZUN's website. I already know how to use AppLoc and I already have my Unicode to Japanese, but the game refuses to update. Neither 1.00a or 1.00b works with AppLoc. Can you please help?

I'm inclined to think that your game may already be updated to 1.00b . First off, try checking the current version of the game by running it and looking for the version info when it starts up. If it's already 1.00b, "problem" solved!

If not, then may I request that you post a screenshot of the error message that you're receiving?

Also, isn't using applocale AND setting the locale to Japanese sort of, well, redundant?
