>You decide to try something dramatic while the statue picks itself up.
>You try to will everything to freeze into place. It feels as though you're trying to push down the side of Scarlet Devil mansion with your bare hands. You don't have enough control over this place to do that. Even if you could, you aren't sure if it would affect the statue or not.

>You duck before it can strike you, and teleport away.
>You start to set up the attack, but the statue turns to face you, dashes and appears in front of you, hand outstretched. You're going to have to buy some time before you can do this, it'll take too much concentration. As well, you'll need to find a way to put the proper amount of force behind it.

For the love of God, people, I said this in the last topic. Be creative with your actions. "Dodge" and "shoot" are not good enough. YOU NEED TO PUT IN EFFORT IF YOU WANT TO SUCCEED.

Kasu, we can fucking teleport and make ourselves ethereal.
Why are we sidestepping?

>Fine, let's try this differently
>Dismiss Rocket Launcher
>Reform Fear No Anvil
>If we can't stop time, let us make it feel like time has stopped
>Conjure Speed Goggles
>Speed Goggles are an item that you wear when you are going to speeds up to .4c (i.e. 40% of light speed). They allow you to see everything that you would perceive at a "normal" speed. However, this does make everything else look painfully slow, since in relation to you, they are. They attach securely so they won't be lost in a high speed blitz.
>See if we can accelerate to speeds that would be expressed as fractions of light.
>Try going at .2c with the speed goggles
>If we can, start smashing that fucking Apparation.

>You try a slight different tactic, creating a set of goggles and trying to accelerate yourself as fast as possible.
>You don't know if you've approached the speed of light, but the statue is moving at a crawl as it draws its fist back from the strike it tried to land on you.
>You strike it with your hammer. The force of the impact is enough to send it flying. But, you barely have time to register this as the force of the impact reverberates through you as well, knocking you off you feet. Dimly, you're aware of yourself flying through the air, and the hammer shattering into pieces.
>It's hard to even think now. You are dimly aware that you are pressed against the mineshaft wall. There is a lot of white mist everywhere, and you're pretty sure that it's not something that is actually there; as much as such a term can be applied to this place.

Also, voices, consider that we can make any spellcard we want here probably, if you are into that sort of thing. Myself, I think they lose effectiveness when you can just be like *BAMF* and teleport away.
