I still find the first Ninja Gaiden much better than Ninja Gaiden 2.
If you like Ninja Gaiden 2, be sure to pick up Ninja Gaiden Black.

And yeah, Master Ninja difficulty is lunacy.  :V

Ninja gaiden 1 WAS better, and I think it's playable on the 360 aswell.
But NG2 had more weapons and better move sets.

Oh and more GORE.
