Just try recording from the mic and leave the music on from the speakers; test out the volume settings to get it to work well beforehand. Voice takes moderate priority over SFX, especially since we've probably heard it plenty before.

It's the video recording part that's stumping me... Fraps pretty much broke everything so I'm going to try Camstudio and see if that's less terrible.  I also probably don't have a good enough computer to play game + record video at the same time, I don't need BEST VIDEO EVER just enough for you all to see how terrible I am when drunk and how angry I get when the bullets run into me.

Ok Camstudio works nicely!  Framerate gets a little funky, but I don't think people will be watching this for my skillz more for the commentary and lack of skillz.
