True but if she's actually hostile, that gives her all the more time to jank us. But I can relent on the truth and reconciliation/smackdown approach if someone's got a good idea, no problem

...wait a second. Kogasa was at the trial. That was pretty damn recent. Either

A.Kogasa was very recently killed
or
B.Someone other then Nue is impersonating Kogasa

Because after the trial, people were eating food and stuff. We looked for Nue in the Yama Mirror, and she certainly wasn't being Kogasa at the moment. Not that THIS Kogasa couldn't be Nue, but still; that means someone was impersonating her good enough to trick a Shinigami and Yama.

That, or she was very recently killed. Which suggests the debri is very recent. Which would also make sense; then this "Kogasa" could logically be Nue, and it wouldn't be surprising that the debri hasn't been cleaned yet despite this room seeming to have been taken care of. It would also suggest that "Kogasa" killed Kogasa.

Well lets try to find out if this is the Kogasa at the trial.

You contemplate what to do with the fake Kogasa. As much as pacifism doesn't suit you, you're not sure you want to get in another fight so soon...

Well lets try to find out if this is the Kogasa at the trial.

>"By the way, Kogasa. Back at the trial, your nervousness and all that really got me and Wriggle all confused! Did you really fake that?"
>"Do you remember when Mystia was so sure about seeing the cape then you testified you didn't see it? That got Wriggle so confused."

One thing comes up that you want to clear up. You ask Kogasa about the trial.

"Huh? Well... I kind of messed up, so I really was nervous about what they'd do. I was afraid Lunasa would be angry about ruining the mock trial! Wasn't it that Mystia said she didn't see the cape, though? They didn't really brief us on what are facts were supposed to be, so I guess she added that in to help you a bit, so I didn't know..."

Well. She didn't fall for the trap, so she had to be present at the trial.

Mackette the Knife's out scouting, shouldn't be hard to recall her.

You wheel around to present the umbrella to the fake kogasa and oh my goodness she has a knife.

You barely manage to stutter out your sentence. You may be prepped for battle, but turning around to find her right in your face with an empty smile and a knife raised to kill you is still rather surprising. Something she has over the original, at the least.

She answers you like a professional. "Urameshiya."

>Before saying this, get some familiars out as precaution.

You've had Mackette out for a while now, luckily enough. You're fairly sure she doesn't know where Mackette is, either. You'll probably have to deal with the knife on your own if she swings it, though.

Which she does. Going to stab right for your jugular.

You move away and swing BROKEN KOGASA at Fake Kogasa's knife arm. It...passes through her. You're not sure what the hell this is. It's just like with Shou, so subsequently, she vanishes after the broken Kogasa passes through her. The sight of the empty eyes lingers in your mind. You're... somewhat confused. Didn't you touch her at some point?

> Draw your sword and be ready to parry the knife slashes.

You draw NYAMUNE anyway. You don't know when the Fake Kogasa, or anything else will be back.

> Would we be able to get Kogasa back if we fixed the umbrella?
> "This day was absolutely horrible."

You're... not sure. She probably has been gone for too long. You certainly can't feel her in the umbrella anymore.

Ultimately, unless she hasn't passed over for some reason, it is likely impossible.

You state your dissatisfaction with today. You're certain it will only proceed to get worse.

You apologize to the broken umbrella, wondering if you should bury it.

You stick BROKEN KOGASA into your gap space, and ready yourself as you leave the room.

The hallways are filled to the brim with Fake Kogasas.

Son of a bitch, you knew it'd get worse.

>"You're not going to actually tell me what's going on, are you?"
>Is Mackette the Knife nearby?

You're wedged straight in.

Unexpectedly, you get a response this time. In a very non-Kogasa voice. "No, But I'm afraid I can't let you leave either. Good-bye, Kitty~"

The Kogasa give a battle cry of Urameshiya and float towards you, knives in hand.

Mackette is underneath you at this point.

You step backwards and try and direct Makette to eat the Fake Kogasa.

She doesn't have much luck, and ends up just flopping around randomly. Apparently they give off the same 'magic' as the entire place, so its like asking her to find specific water in a puddle of water.

You end up having to clear up a large amount of Fake Kogasa on your own.

She does seem to cause them to vanish as well, much like Nyamune.

Out of interest, you punch one with your bare hands. It does feel like you just punched a kogasa in the face, and it doesn't vanish.

Curious.

>Has a dent seem to have been made in the Kogasa Horde?

You've managed to get rid of most of them, really. You expect more are stationary else where.

On top of that, you're not sure if there is an end of them theoretically.

> When we obtained Nyamune, we thought something was weird about it right?  Maybe it has the ability to cancel-out magic.

While the possibility exists, Mackette and BROKEN KOGASA caused the same effects to the Fake Kogasa.

If there is something different about Nyamune, it is either hidden or you've not noticed it.

You're not sure, it sounded like...what was it that Yukari called it? A something something announcer system? Whatever it was, it made it hard to tell where in the building it originated from.

You get Mackette to keep close and get rid of the rest of the Kogasi around here.

You're not about to test whether they can hit you or not personally.

You glance down the now emptied hall.  You feel like guessing more doors are probably down there, and given this hallway's theme, more living quarters.
