Kogasa blinks. "Uhhh...They were kind of shady! Had this odd robe thing too."

You drag Kogasa along to the less bloody corridor after gathering yourself.

Kogasa nods. "Okay!"

"Okay!"

There happens to be little blood around here. In fact, you wonder what caused these stains... If it was HER, she'd be dragging more blood. Did you go here after ...ergh, killing nazrin? But why...

You send Mackette to check for basements while you're pondering this. Shes got nothing so far.

You've got a few rooms around here. It appears you're around the living quarters now. Murasa probably had her room around her somewhere.

Actually, given shes not living, you have to wonder if she DID have a room...

You keep Mackette scouting. Better safe than sorry.

You check the nearest door.

It appears to have be in fine condition! You open it because staring at a door is rather silly.

This room appears to be rather drab and boring. You're going to say out of principal this was possibly Ichirin's room.

You shut it. Nothing she had would've been of help.

You check the next nearest room. You keep yourself ready and-

Open to a perfectly calm looking room, decorated with small pots containing stick of what you can only assume is incense.

The furniture is uncharacteristically beautiful, and the bed itself looks almost regal.

BYAKUREN HIJIRI sits on the bed. She looks peaceful and not dead.

Kogasa seems taken aback. "This isn't..."

You began to utter a greeting, but are cut off by reality returning. This appears to be another thing much like Shou was.

Are you going insane now?

You suppose this is indeed BYAKUREN HIJIRI'S room, however. The furniture does not match up, obviously even in it's prime being far less than the regal sight your saw. The incense and pots are also missing.

Byakuren's body is obviously not here, either.

A portion of the room's ceiling appears to have collapsed for some reason. It seems like there was a fight here, but you don't recall anyone dying here.

This room feels important for some reason.

Kogasa looks baffled, nodding dumbly. "I...that wasn't... that wasn't real, right?"

You decide to start checking this place out.

>Search under bed for stuff.

Starting with the bed. You roll up the futon and check underneath it. Nothing there.

>Examine fight damage, try to get an idea what happened if our forensics are up to the task.

The debris is definitely from the roof, having been knocked down. It seems to have come down in one piece and shattered on the ground. You expect any number of attacks could have achieved this.

There is some more debris collected where the debris from the roof is, but you can't tell where it came from. It may not be native to this room.

It doesn't seem out of the ordinary, as far as you'd classify this place. Eerily clean and untouched, almost as if someone has taken care of the entire place.

So we confirmed Chen isn't going completely crazy (assuming Kogasa isn't suffering from synchronized schizophrenia or something). It might be a good idea to seek out someone who knows what could cause these visions/spirits/whatever to appear.

>Check the rest of the room for interesting things; interesting in the sense of possibly helping to figure out what's going on.

This is a difficult task. You're not sure where exactly you start looking for ghosts. I mean, Kogasa is tied to something, but if it is Hijiri and her crew, they're probably tied to HERE.

Even then, you're just getting brief flashes. Not even full on ghosts.

You decide the debris is worth looking into. The pieces are light enough you can handle them on your own, even if you move a bit slowly with the pieces.

You're not sure where the debris might have come from, whoever moved it did a good job of cleaning up any clues. You find it rather clear there is way too much debris here, though.

The hole in the ceiling seems to have an empty space above it. Maybe it's some kind of attic.

> Consider asking about these recent events to Patchouli (since she knows stuff), Shikieiki and Komachi (afterlife experts) or Hina (maybe the place is cursed?).

> Shouldn't Byakuren's room have some kind of protection from this stuff? You know, since she's a monk and all?

Well, as much as Patchouli would probably know something, Eiki and Komachi judge people all the time, and probably judged Hijiri if she moved on. They'd probably know a lot more about what the situation here is.

She was however, a monk who hung out with a ghost captain. You figure she wouldn't place something that would mess with Murasa.

...You manage to excavate a glimpse of a PURPLE OBJECT in the debris. Something about the object seems familiar, as if you'd seen it recently.

You're almost afraid of what it could be.

You could probably pull it out of the debris, should you?

You swallow the anxious feeling and pull out the purple object. You have to reach in for the other half of it, as it is currently in two pieces. It is, as you feared, something familiar to you. In fact, you've seen it less than a minute or so ago.

You haven't seen Byakuren's scroll any time soon, and you don't really even know what they look like.

You inspect the object closer. There is absolutely no doubt in your mind as to it's identity now. This is the umbrella KOGASA TATARA. It is snapped in half, and you can't feel any trace of spirit from it anymore. Effectively, you're holding her corpse in your hands right now.

Kogasa's umbrella is one of a kind. And given the lack of anything from this umbrella, you're not about to call this one a fake. This brings an obvious question that you should perhaps be more worried about answering.

You've your back to 'Kogasa', who is searching for SOMETHING in this room.

> Resolve to check out attic.

You make a note to. But you're not sure if that is going to need to wait.
