You may be a good swordswoman and be able to shoot a few energy orbs, but in this day and age almost all humans carry devices with them called 'firearms'. You can call them weapons that work like technological replacements for offensive magic. They come in all shapes and sizes. They can pierce your flesh, rend it, tear it, burn it, blow it apart and some can even blow your entire body into gory pieces. If you try anything funny, humans will swarm you with armies of these armed soldiers, some even riding battle vehicles, and blow you to kingdom come. Meira coughed. "Sure, Its not because you all needed a place to hide. I'm not about to believe your crap for a second. Tell me, Cat, what reason do I have to take your words at face value? Something so absurd as magic dying away... I'll never buy such crap!"

Wriggle isn't here at a moment. You could try and drag her in, but you're not sure what good it'll do. She seems to either really not know anything, or

Meira breaks into a dry laugh at your words. "What? Okay, sure, even considering... Why the fuck should I care! If I can't kill them, I'm more than capable of convincing them otherwise! Its what I lack from you damn youkai, I don't try and eat every human I come across! Sure, they could kill me, sure, it could be damn near impossible to survive, but why the hell should I care? What would change if I didn't touch your precious barrier! I'm a human in a world of youkai, cat, I'm -food-! I've had to fight for my life against you damn youkai ever since the shrine maiden died. If I had the hakurei power though, none of you could proper touch me! Even if I have to worry about some outside humans, I'll take them over you any day. Beats being food."

Meira looks as if she wants to lunge at you. "Do you think the village was only hidden to you youkai? Even if I wanted to, I couldn't get into that village!

And who gives a damn if you vanish, frankly! Even then, I still live, hell, I'd call killing all of you a damn plus! Do you expect me to believe your wise cracks?!"

"Yeah. There isn't much left in the air. Doesn't affect me anyway, I can still taste it, so I can still use it. I'll say it again, Thin as it is, I know better than to believe something like magic would just disappear!"

"Because you took it. You've stuffed all the magic in a little jar. I -never- said it was infinite, I said your claims it'd just outright vanish are complete bullshit. The reason this barrier really exists is because you greedy bastards want magic for yourself. Nothing more, nothing less."

"I suppose you're not used to how things used to be, before the barrier, eh?"

Ran loved vanilla frosting, but you were always partial to chocolate. She used to make chocolate all the time for you. ;_; You really would like a cake right now...

Meira responds by spitting in your general direction. "I'd rather rot in here then buy the crap you youkai feed me."

Meira doesn't give you a response. You're not sure if that is a good thing.

As much as you're not about to dare tread over Murasa's second grave, mostly out of fear of anchory death from beyond it, you're not exactly confident she remembered -her- telescope. You recall she probably kept her stuff in the ship turned temple Byakuren set up, and set up her afterlife in it.

You haven't, though you're not sure how she left it. You don't want to, or can't really remember that scrap too well.

It probably has something to do with eating Nazrin.

Regardless, you head off towards where the Myouren temple was.

You arrive, surprisingly, the temple is in fairly nice shape. On the outside, at the least.

You keep your newly acquired fish down, out of respect for the fish and the insects.

You look around for anything of note... Almost eerily, from the outside, it looks like not even a day has passed...

You go to find a backdoor as such. Going anywhere near the front would probably cause you to lose it.

You find the back door, and knock on it.

You don't get an answer, but you accidentally knock the door open.

You give anything left here proper warning and enter through the back door.

You enter the Myouren temple. Inside is a complete wreck. Debris is everywhere. The wall to the next room is completely knocked over.

It was a bit of a stretch, but you're fairly sure it was unlikely anything could survive here anyway.

You look around. You'd figure this used to be the KITCHEN. Anything you could probably use has been scavenged up, probably by disrespectful sorts. The other one seems to be a guest room Byakuren had set up. You could probably head through the guest room's door.
