I may not know everything outside, but I do know that they've a hell of a lot more reason to kill you youkai than me. That claim on the barrier being the only reason theres magic here at all is laughable. In the first place, where did the magic for the barrier before it was up come from, then. No where? And what about magical beings like yourself, you've existed before the barrier. I can see the overall level of magic dropping, like it has recently, sure. But hey, it seems like that isn't about to change anytime soon, so why not just take the power before it goes away?
