Anyone else play this browser MMO? I'm Crying Fish.

For those who don't know what it is, Kingdom of Loathing (KoL) is a browser MMO that doesn't take itself seriously. It is completely free and is sustained through player donation. However, the nice thing is that every donation item can be obtained without donating. The art is very minimalistic, with many characters consisting of nothing more than stick figures. The game also features hipster pop culture references, so if you love your referential humour, there's enough to go around.

Played it, but haven't touched it in a while. It's one massive grind...I won't say it's not bad, it's better than some RPGs I've played.

this statement applies to every RPG ever except for exactly two due to the nature of plurality.

Chrono Cross could also be placed here... I think anyway. Don't remember grinding needing to be done.

And just about every Bioware game out there lacks the need for grinding.

Unless you were looking for a specific element...But I don't think they're single-use items like FFVIII's spells.

I haven't gotten far enough in FF13 to get to the point where you need to grind (I'm renting the game and have to return it tomorrow). I will eventually buy it later, the battle system's fun.

The only Bioware game I ever played was Mass Effect 1, and as I said multiple times in the past, my computer can't run it smoothly, so I'm gonna wait until Bioware makes a Mass Effect Trilogy set or something and play it on my 360/better PC, if I ever get one.

On the subject of non-grinding...If you play Pokemon with just your starter, and pick up a Lucky Egg ASAP if it's available, you can get to an absurdly high level by killing every trainer you come across, and smite the Elite Four and the Champion with ease (most of you probably know that already).

The implication was the two rpgs were the those you couldn't say "They were better than some others I've played".

Well, FF13 for one...

Used to play it back in 2006, had a few millions and got to the last boss but my motivation failed me hard so I dropped it. Sometime later KennyMan666 told me they've made huge updates to it but I guess I don't want to play it anymore anyway.
