What attacks make you the most tense?

The spellcards that you know you can do, but just barely. You're a pixel away from clipdeath the entire time, your heart is racing, and your finger hovers over the bomb button.


For me, Kogasa's midboss spellcard in Stage 2 (Hard/Lunatic). The bullets are so tightly packed, and since I never use Reimu, I'm always afraid of sudden clipping (which then leads to clipping, of course :V). Sakuya's Eternal Meek on Lunatic also does this, as well as (surprise!) Kogasa's first EX midboss spellcard.

The attack starts off as a pretty solid stream down the center (move to the side), then bullets start to assault the entire central area from the sides (move back to the center and get off the bottom).

Here. Pre-midboss!Kogasa will make you laugh your ass off. Guaranteed.

Oh I forgot to mention, but patchy's silphae horn or whatever its' called. That very first one she casts on Marisa A on lunatic. Seriously, I always have more trouble with that than emerald megalith, by far. I don't think I've capped it on lunatic once actually. It's scarlet meister hard for me >=P.

My first lunatic 1cc of PoFV is still one of the most intense shit I've ever gone through.
I had to take five after beating it because apparently I had forgotten to breath.

Border of Life and Death, Virtue of Wind God, Suwako's final, and the last phase of Hourai Elixir. Basically, really dense or really fast stuff, especially if a clear depends on that card.

Attacks with bullets that come from the sides or from the bottom, and attacks that force you to move horizontally through the pattern instead of just normally getting through gaps (Scarlet Meister, SA pelletspam, etc.).

Also, Kaguya's night spells.  "oh lol hi you've got a pretty nice score there, but if you don't ace all five of these spells right now then you get completely screwed, kthxbai"
