Are there Psyvariar clones out there for PC? Or is there already a port out there? Damn I want to play the game again.

Psyvariar Medium Unit and Psyvariar Revision has been ported as a compilation for JP-NTSC/PAL regions on the PS2. Psyvariar 2 has been ported to several consoles (Dreamcast, Playstation 2, and Xbox1 - JP only though).

Not long enough.

Tried figuring Stage 3 boss out in practice. Still as pissed about the fight as I was before. I can't figure this thing out.

Also, I should try Triggerheart Exelica again sometime. Not tonight though. I haven't played it in over a year IIRC. I could try to 1cc Normal and Hard. Maybe even go for the Normal 1LC if I practice.

I don't know when I'll decide to play Ikaruga again. I could care less about learning Stage 3, but I'd love to try to learn Stage 4. That stage is great.

Has anyone here played Omega Five? Might consider it next time I get points, but not sure. How's the gameplay and scoring? Not really interested in 1942: Joint Strike though.

Finally decided to buy that universal fighting stick on play-asia. I simply cannot stand playing with a keyboard or the PS2 controller any longer. Should receive it in a week, when my aunt comes over to my house again.

STG Thread EPISODE IV - 大往生

I dunno if enough people will get that.

Link to the universal stick? I'd like to see it for myself so I can tell you if it's worth the money or not. :V

Will the one after be STG Thread EPISODE V - 大復活 ? :D

I wonder if ZUN was playing some DDP before designing 8-2 in Double Spoiler. Dodging those fucking suns reminded me strongly of the stage 5 boss's missile explosions.

Damn it Cave.

Clipped something right before stage 3 midboss. Death due to Cave Slowdown then speed up. Clip something before the boss. Clip on the boss.

Forgive me for my ignorance but...
What's the definition of 'clipping' anyway?

When you make a conscious effort and move into position to dodge something, but then it turns out you have misjudged the hitboxes.

To see the absolute joy of clipping, refer to Double Spoiler.

The fist hitbox's middle finger extends two or three pixels farther than usual. The anchor's hitbox is actually as small as a red circle shot. Not very accurate, but that's what I've observed (that, and I keep getting hit when I try to move away from Unzan's pink fists of fury).

Well, doesn't that imply something.

Translations.
How much time do you guys think it will take for HM to be translated? Besides everyone's story modes and the whole menus, there's also the fact that the way HM's programmed is different from all other games. I bet it'll take two months.

lusvik: I don't mind about playing HM in japanese. The language of punching other people is international.

Btw, it only works with the PS2, PS3 and a PC with either XP or Vista installed, so I have no idea why it's called "Universal Fighting Stick."

Got a points card so I was able to final download Black Label on my actual account. I wanted that tied to my main account instead of some Japanese account I still need to make to spend these Japanese points I have.

But before I actually start playing Black Label, I got FF XIII. Installing that game now. Can't wait to try it.

Great job, you bought a stick that has the potential to be one of the best sticks EVER if modded correctly.

Generic parts.
Here's a modding tutorial. I guess modding wasn't as easy as I had initially anticipated.

Black Label makes this like a million times better.

Fixes almost every problem I have with 1.5. Not sure about Maniac haven't messed with it. Original is a lot better, though I only got to the Stage 3 boss for now, but I didn't try much.

God mode is great, though still a little BS at times. But then I haven't learned the stages. Highly doubt I'll 1cc it anytime though. Original should go down easily enough once I put a few credits into it, since it didn't seem too bad and all my deaths were derps, and more power means less bombs needed.

Not sure if I prefer Reco or Palm in this.

I don't think anyone in my family knows how to solder though... and I sure as hell ain't gonna go try.

Soldering is easy. Just don't accidentally pick up the iron by the heating element after it's been on for a while: It hurts. A lot.

In Double Spoiler, why is it that you sometimes get a black camera icon or a gold camera icon next to the scene's menu entry when you clear it? I haven't been able to figure it out, although I'm sure it has something to do with score or performance.

You answered your own question, it's the score.  Just like in the first game where if you don't score well enough Aya will go all 'hurr ive got enough pictures but they arent good enough.'  If the camera is gold it means that she's satisfied with your results.

So I practiced some of Gunbird 2's second loop for a little bit today.  I don't really know why, I guess I just felt like bludgeoning my self-esteem into a greasy pulp for a bit.  The suicide bullets are absolutely terrible in this game; at max rank they actually move faster than Tavia's movement speed, and she's supposed to be one of the quicker characters. O_o

What. So the effort that I put in to get through some of that shit isn't enough for Aya? Picky bitch. :V
