Those look great! I myself have something to show, something I'd like critique on, please :) its an almost-finished version of my earlier drawing. I cut in what was necessary to make it look better :p
http://img535.imageshack.us/img535/7382/shburdfvgre.png

I added to her dress, drew her right hand, improved the eyes, and added some depth to the hair. The end result will have her with both hands doing a magic incantation, with a gentle smile (still trying to make her look gentle XD). The incantation will have its own background too, in the end.

Any things I should fix before I move on to her other hand (I think the hand i drew is really wrong in particular...)? Also, some tips on drawing tiny pictures, please? My art looks way worse when I try to do it really small. This one time i showed a drawing on webchat, people said it sucked, and on that same day I drew this which I think was a dramatic random leap in skill :D and I got better onwards!

I would also really appreciate any general tips on drawing manga as well. I kinda lack common sense ^^;

Uh-oh, it looks like you've taken a step back D:
The shoulder is now much more pronounced and somewhat burly, which is exactly the opposite of what it sounds like you want.
The upper arm needs to be longer and the shoulder needs to be lower.  Also, the perspective on the eye to the right is more than needed.
As far as other proportions go, the neck should be thicker, but the hand is a pretty good size.
Attached is a picture of how you should edit it.

I hope I helped! ^^;

the burly shoulder was supposed to be her dress puffed out, sorry I didn't mention it ^^; Any way I can make it more obviously puffed out? I wouldn't like that to be mistaked for a burly part, I never intended that...
Understood about the arms, but what does "more than needed" for the right eye mean? I don't get it.
Understood about the neck too! I'll be sure to use the picture for reference for changing it :)

Thanks for the help :D

Edit: about how much does she look, turned close to sideview? i intended about 45, which is why i made the eye the way it was.

The eye is too small for the angle of the head.  The way it looks now, she looks like she's squinting, which isn't very relaxed >w<
When doing the puff sleeve imagine it as a circle that is smacked right dab in the middle of the shoulder joint.  Then all you need to do is adjust for wind/gravity/movement/etc.

Hope this helps out!

Thanks, it really did :) Applied your advice and she looks much more beautiful now ^^

Also, you guys never cease to amaze me! It's like this community is just full of great artists o.o I really like those pictures :thumbsup:

Where do you guys get your inspiration? i myself don't have all that much, which is why I'm drawing less than I should ._.; Although I love character design :o

My inspiration is mainly derived from boredom and music.  If I hear a really great song, I feel like I have to draw out that emotion.  I also do a lot of art when I'm bored in school.  Since drawing is kind of like dreaming to me, it's kind of like my own special way to sleep during class ^^;
Otherwise, inspiration kind of just comes and goes for me.

Sakuya.
Minimal coloring for the win...!
One of the hardest characters for me to draw is also my favorite character. How ironic.

Her facial expression is nice.  :3

I made a Sakuya scratch art yesterday, but i never occurred to me to scan it in (I made a Yuyuko one as well.) before I brought it in to Art class. But it's hanging in the school hallway now. :P

Anyyyywayss. You should finish coloring it Kracko.

This is my I-should-concentrate-more-in-school face  ー。-)

Anyway, I haven't drawn *anything* on ages, so I just copied something else instead of doing something even half-way original or interesting >.>

Eh, coloring... Isn't really my forte. Like in the Sakuya picture, I usually just take up coloring a few lines.

Also, I'd love to see those pictures, but I guess more people would see it and appreciate it in a more public area, huh.

Wow, that looks amazing~ is it bad that I don't know who that is..?

Meanwhile, Kaishi drew a big-headed Koishi...

Tried pencil shading this time, I think it looks better that way.
By the way, if anyone's got any tips for improving this (I know the hands are probably a bit small, and some of the clothing creases don't quite look right) I'd like to know, as I might try scanning and SAI editing later.
