Okay, we need to get this fucking show on the road. Let's finish up here before matching back to Patchy.

>You head into the library, passing by Sakuya as she directs a small squadron of maids in dusting the foyer. The young Basset Hound is at her feet, and while Sakuya does not notice you, the dog does and begins to bark at you.
>You do not see Marisa anywhere, but it is a large library. You do find Patchouli at her table, pouring over some tome. You note that Koakuma is visible in the back of the library, apparently shelving something. Patchouli looks up from her book, and waits for you to speak.
>You give her the leaves. She grins. "Excellent, these are exactly what I needed!" She takes them and says, "I require the box and my notes." Koakuma looks up from her current task, and flits away. A few moments later, she approaches Patchouli with a wooden box and a sheaf of papers. Patchouli takes the latter and flips through them for about half a minute, nodding to herself with the periodic, "Mm hm..." Then she sets them aside and opens the box and pulls out a single shit of badly waterlogged paper.
>Clearing a spot on the table, she places the waterlogged paper on the table, and places the two leaves on top of it. Then she holds her hands over it and begins to chant. The leaves begin to emit a soft light, and a plume of steam raises from the paper, dissipating into the dry air quickly. Soon, the water damage entirely vanished, and you can see a picture drawn on the paper. It is a crayon picture of Patchouli, with her hands folded demurely and wearing an uncharacteristic smile. It is signed "Flandre age 501"
>Patchouli seems pleased with herself, as she takes the leaves and places them into a box. "Thank you, Reisen," she says as she regards the picture, "you've done a significant favor for me." Then she looks to Koakuma. "Procure a frame, please." Koakuma nods, and hurries off.
>"So," says Patchouli, "What sort of reward do you wish?"

Go West of her home, and you'll come to Wriggle's house. It's a large mushroom, quite distinctive. Go north of there, and you'll see a cave. Follow the cave, and you'll come to the Ancient City."

>Wear Silver Medal.

>Patchouli nods. "Do not feel obligated to drop everything for this. But I imagine you will return to Eientei before too long."
>You pin the Silver Medal on your jacket.

>"Can I ask what the research is about?"

>You start to ask, but Patchouli has already gotten up and is walking toward the back of the library. She approaches, then rummages through a chest along the ball, then returns, bearing a small ring box. Patchouli opens it, revealing what seems to be a shard of metal with a dull golden color. You think it might have been part of a sword. "I wish to learn anything about this weapon she has to share. All I can say for search is that Rumia found it somewhere and it seems to have had a connection to a cosmic horror. Do not worry about the latter part, I can assure you it is inert now and the horror is as vanquished as we can expect it to be. As for the former, I assure you I've quizzed Rumia thoroughly, and she knows nothing, save that she found it around the Forest of Magic some time ago."

>"Do you mean Eirin or Kaguya as 'my master'?"

>"Eirin," says Patchouli. "But if she feels your princess would have insights, I do not mind that she be included. But, no one else. I wish to keep this research discreet for the time being. It is likely, you understand, for people to jump to the wrong conclusions. I trust your master to have the proper discretion."
>Koakuma returns, bearing a picture frame. It also contains the portrait of a woman with a towering wig and an elaborate ballgown. Patchouli frowns at her, ignoring Koakuma's grin. "We've discussed this before."
