Fucking game over on Yuyuko, which I guess counts as "improvement" since my last game over was on Youmu, but still....

Switched from homing (Sak A) to Damage (Rei B) after giving up on my "no hitbox syndrome" drive. 1cced past Prismriver for the first time!

Why am I here?

Well, got all the way to Yuyuko on 2 continues, died on her 3rd card....

and accidentally told the game to not use my last continue.

UFO Extra. What the hell is killing me? I've been trying a no death run and I've only managed to make it to Nue once. Every other time I got killed and I'm sure nothing even touched my hitbox. If I wanted this kind of crap, I'd play HRtP or SoEW.

Edit: Just tried PoFV Extra No Deaths again and only made it to stage 6 once. Tried a new strategy as well and apparantly the timer freezes if you try to cheap it out by being pacifist to avoid filling the screens forcing you to shoot occasionally, so that doesn't work either.

Just did a run of LLS Hard, after not playing it in months, and never on Hard. I got through Stages 1-4 with no deaths and only one bomb!

Then I lost five lives to Reimu and game overed as Yuka was exploding, since I forgot about Yuka Spark. fjskfsdfjsdlfkalkjslffads

Dear GOD you are not. The laser hitboxes in Mystic Square makes the ones post-IN seem conservative.

After making that post I went on to find that Mai's lasers still have hitboxes after for a brief moment after they start rotating again :V

Tried another MS lunatic run in hopes of repeating the awesome Shinki fight from the previous one and getting it on video.

Got to Shinki 3/0 (without the 400 extend, of course), clipped something in her first phase, royally screwed up during Cheetos Lasers (and I am one of the three or four people that find Cheetos Lasers easy), game over before the hard part of Devil's Recitation. Either way the run had already lost its purpose. 

And Yumeko's blue streams are still as undecipherable to me as ever. I imagine you're supposed to change directions between the two lasers, but obviously there's something else I'm missing. Better reflexes, probably.

Mountain of Faith Lunatic. What the fuck. Pretty much everything is an autobomb. I managed to continue spam my way to stage 6 but couldn't clear it because of Virtue of Bullshit Wind God so now I'm going to go watch a stage 6 replay

Peerless Wind God is bullshit as well. Stage 5 is actually somewhat fair but still had a few autobombs.

You can't, because there are cheetos spawning straight down from the center. I also believe Shinki's cheetos can make sharper turns than Alice's just after they spawn, which would allow them to reach you and quickly dislodge you from a shotgunning position, but in short, no you can't.

Maybe you've noticed the big bullets fall straight down. Use this to your advantage.

Even on lunatic it's possible to autobomb pretty much everything and get to stage 6 with something to spare. It's also possible to get to Kanako with four lives and still fail to clear it because you've been bombing everything for almost half an hour and your reflexes have fallen asleep in the meantime, and will not come back all of a sudden in time for VoWG. orz

Tried a Cirno run in PoFV. Killed 3 fucking times by Aya causing me to arrive at Shikieiki on my last life.

Continued just to try some more and then have to continue again just to get her the first try of that credit.

Well, my USB drives, holding all my Touhou games (done April 2008 after a virus seriously threatened my computer) back up all my games, but they tend to be outdated. Thankfully I don't care about having a full spell card capture in-game, but in the case of SA I have to reunlock three shot types for extra. >_< I still have two to go...

Now I got killed 3 times by Komachi with a different character instead and was barely off from the 50,000,000 extend so I didn't even make it to stage 9.

Edit: 3 times to Aya again. And since I suck even more at scoring with Reimu, I wasn't near the 50,000,000.

Edit: 3 times to Komachi, 3 times to Aya, 3 times to Aya. Why do I even bother with this?

Edit: Failed Hourai Elixir Lunatic with 1 second on the timer. The card is soeasy until the last 4-5 seconds as well, then it does that.

I played Hourai Elixir lunatic two times in all my Touhou history. Guess how many times I failed it with less than 1 second left.

Neither can I. Demon of Purification sucks. Same for Greatest Treasure and Radiant Treasure. Everything else is trivial, and even Radiant Treasure usually goes down easily enough for me.

I didn't know I could screw up on "flaw of forgiving shrine", nor did I know I could lose more than one life on Flying Phoenix. I sent 3 runs into the gutter due to lower than ground level self-confidence. How about I now go to sleep? :/

I tried to 1cc SA on Hard. I was at the end of Stage 5 after a couple of accidental deaths during Orin, and had been maintaining an extra live count of around 4 or 5 since the beginning of Stage 4.

Then the game crashes in the transition to Stage 6.

I had the best run I've ever had on SA Stage 6 Hard. Passed Nuclear Excursion and Giga Flare with flying colors, and finally managed to capture Hell's Tokamak again. Then I die near the end of Subterranean Sun because I didn't move left enough.

I played some EoSD today just for kicks. Just hard difficulty cuz I had plenty to drink atm. Everything was going fine all things considered. But when Remi casted "thousand needle mountain" I thought "oh yeah, this card". I was trying to do it without bombing, and well. bam, I got killed by some bullet I didn't notice.

Is the card just plain like that? I mean no matter how much better I get at shooters, this one CONTINUES to dazzle me. I mean it's not as hard as scarlet gensokyo (which I capped on that same run btw, but it WAS only hard) or scarlet meister, but it's so simple. No gimicks, nothing. It's just this very orderly looking pattern of bullets, and for some reason I just can't read it at ALL. Is it just me?

It's easier on Lunatic than it is on Hard. Hard's version is just WTF while Lunatic's is decently readable.

How did I just die twice to Gold Detector on Hard? That card isn't even hard unlike her autobomb last one.

And this is harder than some of the Lunatics. I'm only able to get to Ichirin's final card on one credit. I can't even beat Stage 5.

Another Extra run, game overed at Hollow Giant Woo. WHAT THE HELL WAS ZUN THINKING WHEN HE TURNED IT INTO RANDOM BULLET HELL.

@Enigma: We're on the same boat. Nazrin's diamond card on Hard is just impossible to me, Gold Detector is static and has quiet spots. It has a lot in common with catadioptric, forcing you to read pretty much all the screen. That's why screwing up there is so easy.

EDIT: Hollow Giant Woo is more like hollow giant WOE. I hate it so much.
EDIT2, to avoid double post: What the fuck is up with UFO. I can get through IN's EXTRA stage more or less without dying, and now on my FIFTH continue on STAGE 4 NORMAL OF UFO I'M STILL STUCK THERE.
