Try Change Air Blade. Sometimes you'll pick up a powerup that allows you to play as the boss.
It's even more common in multiplayer mode come on someone play on Kaillera with me :(

Anyway, this looks pretty cool. I want to play!

Looks like fun!

I had a similar idea, but a different genre--it's a breakout clone where you arrange bricks to try and get the ball past the paddle. I can't make any decent games worth anything right now, but it sounds like an interesting idea, yes?

At first i thought "Meh. looks like a normal shooter" until i noticed you actually play as the boss. I'll be keeping an eye on this one

Haha, the trailer tricked me. I thought it looked totally generic and didn't catch on until the "you" arrow

On that note, this game actually looks really fun.

I see a new career for PoFV AI.
If released this game needs a 2P mode.

The most infuriating quesite about this game is the fact that you need to continuously press the Z button in order to shoot... it's really incomodating.

Sweetness and love~ ♥

Oh wow, it's coming real!

I was thinking of something like this where one becomes the boss and stuff -- the "you as the badass boss" concept being an inspiration from playing Yuusha no Kuse ni Namaikida.
... where in my thought the boss is facing up instead of down though, just like the usual.

The gauge on the right made me realize you are controlling the big ship instead (besides the posts I've read before actually that is ^^;).

AWESOME!! >w<

It's fun until you're prohibited to shoot a target while having to kill the enemy at the same time.

It's really, REALLY frustrating.

I would have liked it a whole lot more if I didn't have to use a mouse.

Mainly since I use a touchpad. :P

Trapping a ship in the top corner of the map and creeping to their inevitable doom is so satisfying on the other side. :V

1. Use laser
2. Trap them in a corner.
3. Shoot aimed attack
4. :]

It's fun until you're prohibited to shoot a target while having to kill the enemy at the same time.

Just wait until they break, then shot 2 and force the enemy into the wall.  Then either just wait for the shots to catch up or lay a spread of shot 1s.

But dear god, the three minute survival was annoying.  Master Spark all the time was enjoyable, granted, but when you can't even restore your health, it gets a bit tedious.

EDIT:... wait, Sparta difficulty?  what.

Anyway, this looks pretty cool. I want to play!

the one playing on the top position will win :p (or is the AI on single-player that terrible on the bottom position? All I know is that the AI gets cheaper on later stages, spamming the boss form apparently without explanation)

I've finished all stages with all ships (except the cloud, which is only for subscribers or something), there are some weapon combinations that are worth spamming (while some of the higher/lower level attacks are worth forgetting :p). Liked some of its stages (especially those involving survival), didn't like the ramming stages much, though it's quite easy to manipulate the enemies (there was one ramming stage that I liked, one where I had to ram shots instead of enemies). Liked the stage descriptions for most of the ships :p

However, for a flash game, this has yet to beat Pararalyzer :p
neku: now for something important.
Translations.
How much time do you guys think it will take for HM to be translated? Besides everyone's story modes and the whole menus, there's also the fact that the way HM's programmed is different from all other games. I bet it'll take two months.

lusvik: I don't mind about playing HM in japanese. The language of punching other people is international.
