I'd like to see every single character come back.  Seriously.  I think they're all great, and deserve to be known.  Especially the ones from the first games, like Konngara, Rika, Elis...Still, something would bug me:  The fandom would ruin them, just like they did with many characters for Windows.

Mima and Shinki- but I swear I have legitimate reasons in this.

Marisa and Alice are gradually developing their powers over time, perhaps moreso than Reimu or others. Marisa is becoming very close to becoming a youkai, even. She's got her own grimoire, is studying the art of Danmaku and readily developing more and more spell cards. Alice is coming closer to creating sentient dolls (See: Titania, Goliath).

All of this general power-gaining could possibly peak with some sort of interaction between characters that fandom ties them to, such as Mima and Shinki. Possibly.

I quite like most of the, but if I had to pick one... Shinki. No contest whatsoever. :V Aside from kicking obscene amounts of ass, she actually has some kind of legitimate reason to return now, since the whole Makai deal in UFO.

i am also for yumeko and shinki, but i think it is unluckly since we already have so many "pairs"

and i also think that some of them are a bit strange and "not fitting" like Kotohime which is a PC98 Kaguya if u ask me or Rikako Asakura since she is a scientist she should live at youkai mountain with kappa, but she still is human which would be kind of strange

Personally I'd like to see what Zun's interpretation of Yuugenmagan would look like were she revived for the modern games, seeing as he seems less likely to make non-humanoid enemies than he did in PC-98 era. A humanoid Yuugenmagan would be awesome, and I'm curious as to how Zun would design her... Except, unfortunately, he wouldn't. D;

I agree, the human shape in the middle of Yuugenmagan would become more real while the eyes would become ethereal, and vice-versa. It seems creepy nowadays, in the Windows-era, but would be interesting.

How much time do you guys think it will take for HM to be translated? Besides everyone's story modes and the whole menus, there's also the fact that the way HM's programmed is different from all other games. I bet it'll take two months.

lusvik: I don't mind about playing HM in japanese. The language of punching other people is international.

Admittingly mostly for Yuki, but you can't have Yuki without Mai.

And I liked Ellen, but since shes not a touhou character it probably wouldn't be right to bring her back  :ohdear:

None. Fandom rarely touches them, and I couldn't bare to see the only Touhous not bastardized by fandumb sink to the level or Windows.

And I'm saying this as a PC-98 fan.

Edit: Oh already posted here...still my decision stands. Alot has changed since my last post.

Mima had a very interesting character to her and it would be nice to see her come up again. Also, Orange would be funny to have come up as she was literally just brushed aside by Reimu and Marisa. Having Orange appear as a stage 6 boss would just be utterly hilarious or even an extra boss. Also, it seems like Ruucoto probably should just die because the lack of characterization and is probably not even used.
