Okay, I'm really really bad at knowing whats underrated and such; if tons of people aren't going around saying "I LOVE/HATE THIS SONG" then I have no idea how other people feel about it.

Although, I'm fairly sure that after thinking about it again, my choice would be A Sacred Lot. Yeah, HRtP's menu theme. It just gets better as it goes on~<3 (Because "Now, Until the Moment You Die" isn't underrated, right?  )

Almost everything from Story of Eastern Wonderland is pretty underrated, actually. Power of Darkness, World of Empty Dreams, Bet on Death...

Bet on Death is incredibly repetitive... but it has some charm to it. Also, it gets bonus points for having such a badass name for a song. It makes the 5 Magic Stones sound incredibly more badass than they really are.

For PC98, it'd be Bad Apple plus most of the final boss songs and anything related to Alice. And then a few songs from PoDD. Yeah, I'm a stickler  :V

I don't understand how can Lost Dream be underrated if pretty much everyone who heard it rates it above pretty much anything else including the dreaded, omnipresent, all-encompassing, abandon-all-hope-all-ye-who-hear-it, Bad Apple, exclamation points.

Hey, Dream War is awesome.  Also, Demon's Souls hates you almost as much as Touhou.  Good times!

What is the most overrated Touhou track?

The pair to yesterday!  There are a bunch of these, but I give it hands bloody down to Cosmic Mind.  It's fairly boring, is by far the weakest S6 boss theme (yeah, that's right, even Lunatic Princess is better), and I cannot for the life of me understand the love it gets.

DHM to Wind God Girl, for SUCKING.  And Fall of Fall, for BORING.

That said, Necrofantasia isn't quite all that. For remixes it's godly, and the original perfectly fits the tone of Yukari's fight (I'm a big bad border youkai and you're on the border of life and death...BITCH), but musically it's not all that.

Still, I'm going to go with Invisible Full Moon. People rave over this song endlessly, but it's rather plain. Still good, but not near as good as most other stage 5 themes.

Dishonorable mention to A Tiny Tiny Clever Commander. Among UFO boss themes it's my second least favorite behind Captain Murasa. I can kinda see why it's so popular, but it's nowhere near the greatness most people say it is.

To be fair, Hartmann's Youkai Girl is the most overrated Touhou song. Necrofantasia is the most overrated track.

Where is everyone getting that Lunatic Princess is popular? From what I'm seeing all thats popular about it is "HELP ME, ERINNNN!!!" and maybe a remix here and there, but other than that it tends to get swept under the rug in favor of pretty much every other final boss theme in the series (bar History of the Moon, which is actually pretty underrated).

In terms of overrated, not overplayed.....that's a tough one.


Emotional Skyscraper ~ Cosmic Mind I guess will take this one. I just am not a fan of it; feels like it's constantly on the verge of greatness but something holds it back for the most part. 1:43-2:10 it hits it's potential, but the rest of the song is kinda disappointing.

DHMs to Necrofantasia, Candid Friend, and Bad Apple. Necrofantasia was the first Touhou song I've ever heard, so it hurts to vote for it here. Like Luna Dial, it makes a better theme than a song but it does indeed get too much recognition than it's worth. As for Candid Friend, I admit I no longer hate the song, but I still just don't see what exactly makes people go crazy over it.  Bad Apple (original) is just too bland to be a top-5 PC-98 song.
