How do you perform the 412/632 moves in SWR/UNL? I can do the 214/236/22 ones just fine.

If you don't get it, look at your numpad.
Considering you understand the numpad notation, you should already know how to do it in theory. Hit 6, let go - Hit 2, then keep holding 2 and hit 6.
The problem lies in how fluidly you can hit the directional buttons... But you likely already knew that. It's probably best to practice doing the movement slowly, first, and making sure your fingers understand the pattern.

Sometimes people let go of 6 after they hit 2, rather than let go before.
Or you may possibly be hitting 2 and 6 at the same time rather than hitting 2, then 6.
Also, don't forget to keep holding those buttons when you press the attack button.

Hmm, is there anyway to do this with the directional pad instead? Also, for example, when I do 214, I go into crouch, then move backwards before immediately hitting the B/C button,

421/623 is actually pretty easy on a stick/d-pad, although certain pads are not exactly made for precise inputs.  I highly recommend you get either a gamepad with analog sticks or simply just an arcade stick.  The d-pad I currently use, which is made by Logitech, is quite unresponsive most of the time and often ruins games because of this.  When it does work, I can actually manage to pull off some pretty neat stuff.  However, due to the unreliable nature of this d-pad, I rarely use those inputs in a game now.  Sometimes after I dash, I hit 236 and it somehow reads it as 623 because I was holding 6 earlier.  With a stick, the diagonal 1/3 inputs become much easier to do.

It usually works for me if I press right-down-right or left-down-left really fast.

So, no one knows who Princess Inada is, or why she and I have a problem?

The closest thing I can find is Kushi-inada-hime from the legend of Yamata no Orochi. No clue as to why she has a problem with you (though technically it would be Minoriko who's being scolded).

As far as I know, that's the right Princess Inada, also known as princess Kushinada or Kushi-inada.
(I think it's Minoriko that's doing the scolding. Since it's 稲田姫様 叱られるから and Mioriko is that Princess Inada.)

In Touhou we know her as Princess Inada or as Aki Minoriko, she's concerned with the harvest of crops, mainly rice.
(This can be seen because when Princess Inada was saved from the Yamata no Orochi, she was actually used as a sacrifice for a successful harvest.)
Although in Touhou lots of fans see her as a minor god, but since she's in charge of what humans harvest she's actually one of the main gods that common farmers and families would care about. (Possibly having even more faith than Kanako or Suwako)

Why such a giving god would have a problem with you?
Beats me, did you say something insulting to the Aki sisters? Or maybe you didn't respect your food when you ate it?
Did you possible leave left overs and didn't feel sorry for doing so? (They say there's a god in every single grain of rice!)
Since if Minoriko has a problem with you, that means that you won't get to eat good rice, that includes fried rice, whit rice, rice cakes, and even sushi!

If Minoriko is the one scolding, then it makes sense in context with the dialogue in MoF Stage 1. I don't really remember that well, but I know both Reimu and Marisa argued with Minoriko.

Reimu mentioned something about how does a god taste and Minoriko interpreted it as Reimu wanting to eat her, so yeah. :V

Actually, Reimu was just wondering what smelled so good and Minoriko kind of assumed. And Marisa was just wondering if there was anything worth practicing on thereabouts to get back into form.

But yeah, never really would have thought of Kushinada, as I tend to see the name like that, and parse it as Kushi-nada. Gracias!

I always thought Minoriko was ZUN's version of Uke-Mochi.

But that's just me.

Is it accurate to call Komachi a grim reaper?  Shinigami means 'death god', and Chinese for grim reaper directly translates into death god.

I'd rather call her "eased reaper", but yeah, otherwise, pretty much.  :derp:

If anything, just stick with "reaper," I'd say. Or, heck, just leave it as "shinigami" with a footnote as to what it is if you need one, like "yuki-onna."

pronunciation talk

I always wondered why the touhou wiki doesn't list the pronunciation of a character on their page, unless they already do that. (though it is a subjective matter)

Actually, some character articles have music notes next to their names, which leads to a sound file of how that name is read.

It might be more accurate to call Komachi a psychopomp, but no one uses this word so you'd just look like as asshole =[

Shikieiki judges 'em. Komachi gets 'em there to be judged.

Really you could apply it to both, though, but I would apply it more to Komachi, since she's (so far as we know) the first thing the departed encounter, and the psychopomp's central role is to help the confused dead soul get its bearings and move on to where it needs to go.

You know I been reading about the U.S invading the moon and I wonder is this Fannon?

Whether it's Fannon or not, how strong do you think Neil, Buzz(?) and the other guy where to be considered an invasion force by the Lunarians? or was it a misunderstanding?

This should probably go in the Miscellaneous Questions Thread.

But it's stated explicitly in Cage in Lunatic Runagate. Or at least, that Armstrong and Aldrin came to the moon and planted their flag, which the Lunarians deemed an invasion.

So, it was a misunderstanding I see.

Thanks for that, I do that right now.

Edit: Actually I can't do that right now, as it seems my browser doesn't trust that link and I don't want to risk it. Sorry.

How can either of those sites be dangerous for you?  The first one simply links to another thread in this forum and the other one links to Toukou Wiki.

If you don't trust the all so trustable muffin's links, you can also google the sites your self, starting from the touhou wiki and searching in it.
