Marisa's difficulty in LLS is all over the place. Since her attacks are completely random throughout the fight, and her attacks vary wildly in difficulty, you can either beat her no deaths or blow three lives on her. I guess if anything Reimu's consistent in difficulty...not that that helps. D:

So I don't have an embarrassing moment (unless you count my hilarious ineptitude at PoFV and how Ruro gets to laugh at me D:), but today I read a poem for the first time in years. It's written by the greatest poet ever, Shel Silverstein. After my experiences with Touhou, it seems rather...fitting.

It would have been more embarrassing if it was the only miss in the stage, but I have a horrible tendency to twitchfuck Subterranean Rose, so that didn't happen.

I was playing SA Easy (Yeah, yeah, I know) and got to Stage 5. And then I used like 3 continues on the stage because I kept running into the cat at the bottom left corner after the spell card. I would go to try and get the power-ups and life star and would just ram right into the cat right before it would disappear.

This is why I always, ALWAYS tell Nuclear Fusion not to run into the cat.

For some reason, I find Reimu's consistent difficulty means I can take a more methodical approach. And henceforth, easier.

Kurumi's 2nd phase is... worse than Mystia's mid-boss Spell Card. Granted it's not as dense, but the room you have to move, the size of the bullets, and the speed. I've had my runs stopped because I can't read it.

Also, I died on Yuka's 2nd phase [Stage 6]. You know, that really easy one. And not getting a perfect Stage 5 is an automatic embarrassment  ;_; (excluding the pre-boss rings)

Yes, Kurumi's second phase is indeed BS, especially on max rank. I managed to capture it for the first time a couple weeks ago, and it was pure luck.

On my first attempts on the final boss on SA, I would always get myself killed trying to get the lifestar dropped by the 2nd noncard during mega flare or whatever its called. It would always spawn right in the middle where the biggest pile of shrinking sun things would be.. Now I just pretty much ignore it.

Finished the run with 0/1. Prismriver smackdown and forgetting to actually move before the Youmu fights. Beat Res. Butterfly but meh, I should still have done better.

I'm convinced that Sanae's third card is easy, and yet I screw it up almost everytime because of random bullets.

Never have I run into Sanae on this card though.

The game gives you a stupid amount of lives AND I PROCEEDED TO LOST THEM.

I may have to bombspam Orin like woah.  MarisaB's bombs actually do notable damage, at least.

I died to Catwalk.  This isn't anything new, but my method of dying was.  I somehow managed to run into one of the white bullets.  You know, the stationary ones in the top half of the screen that aren't even doing anything?  Those ones.  Maybe it's time to take a break.

Eh, it seemed easy for me at first, but as I get better it gets harder. Go figure. Nowdays it seems like the stupid yellow bullets are always where I need to be all the damn time. So now I just bomb it at the end.. maybe even 2 bombs. She gives you 1.5 energy afterwards, and it's pretty darn easy to fill up back to 4.0 before the final boss since all the big fairies at the end drop 0.25 each.

Kinda nice to have a bomb for the fast little fairies with the stupid bs I bounce for no reason in mid air and screw you over fairies right after her though.

I used to have about an 80% capture rate on this card, now it's about 10 if I'm lucky.

I don't get it...you can beat Yumeko no problem, who is one of the hardest bosses in the series for me...yet you fail at Shinki, who's only at about Utsuho level in difficulty.

Sometimes, Yumeko will be no problem (0-1 lives lost). More often than not, I die / bomb to opener more than once. Further, clipdeaths can occur, so it is entirely probably that I end up losing 3+ lives due to this.

Shinki's opener I can't do. That phase where I die for the last time (see: 4th screenshot) as well. Don't know why. And considering my past runs, I would say that "on average" it would take me 2-3 lives (+bombs) to beat her. So let's just say that... it's one of those runs where everything goes wrong.

Shinki is not THAT hard.
Most of her attacks is not a OH GOD BS, less that interphase when she opens her white "wings" - autodeath/autobomb- and that guided laz0rs (this one always takes of me all my bombs and the current life). Though, any careless movement is a life or a bomb less for you... I say, you, most of time you have no much room for wrong movements, but the patterns are easy.
