Stage 5 UFO (revisiting because I have the potential to perfect it).

So I:

• Captured "Greatest Treasure" (like the piece of crap it is)
• Survived the Post-Mid-Boss waves, even the Pre-Boss orbs (memorized)
• Captured "Radiant Treasure Gun"
• Survived Syou's 2nd non-spell
• ...died to "Aura of Justice" because I accidentally hit up out of twitch reflex instead of standing perfectly still; smacked right into a wall
• Almost captured "Vajra of Perfect Buddhism", except I moved too early, didn't finish the Spell Card off and smacked myself into a bullet rushing towards the PoC

BUT THEN FUCKING YUYUKO'S LAST SPELL CARD KICKS MY ASS
HOW THE FUCK DID THIS HAPPEN

I had 1 live when I reached her, and I got ALL the way to "Resurrection Butterfly -30% Reflowering-" to lose ALL of them, FFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUU
Why are there so many bullets in PCB? Makes me wanna raegquit. ;_;

I find her last spell easier if you go up and go past the red butterflies before they spread out (how the hell do people dodge that from the bottom, seriously)

Play "Saigyouji Flawless Nirvana" a lot.  You'll eventually be able to read the bullet paths easily.

Tried a PCB Hard 1cc. It was going to be my very first Hard 1cc ever, and I was doing fantastically. Then I game-over'd on Yuyuko's third midspell. I could have made it if not for one thing.

What is that thing?

Hint: I used Sakuya :V

Try MoF Hard.

With Reimu-A it's even easier than PCB with Sakuya-B =P

IN and MoF Hard are much more manageable than PCB Prismriver and Youmu BS :V

I have so many grievances against PCB Stage 4 and onwards.  The Primsriver Sisters are pure evil, and almost every single freaking one of their spells/non-spells always gets me.  And what's worse is that the Stage takes about 50 minutes to go through so practicing that crap is such a pain.
Youmu suffers from the same stupid stage problem, but other than that, she's not too bad save for Hell Realm Sword.  If only the time slow occurred before the red bullets smother me.  Otherwise she's cake.

Yuyuko is absolutely gay.  Her first spell card always makes me screw up every though there's a freaking CLEAR PATH through the bullets, and after that it's just stupid mistake after stupid mistake even though it's all fairly easy.  The only legitimately hard spell she has is her final spell if I get unlucky and she just doesn't stay within my range (MarisaA user).

I've figured out a cause of Touhou woes.

I cannot press more than 3 buttons at once on my laptop.  This means I can't move while focus firing and have an OHSHIT BOMB moment... well, unless I don't want the bomb to go off.  I thought I just had lousy reflexes until I tried not firing all the time.  Whelp, there we go.

Unless this is a built-in feature of Touhou but I never read about that restriction before, in which case I am a moron.

no, that's definitely a problem with the keyboard of your laptop.

I've seen keyboards do this before, specially when i used to play O2Jam and you could press up to 7 keys at once.

Talking about rage.....what do you usually do when you rage?

Mine ranges from the usual "FFFFFFFFFFFF" when you just can't pull the full thing, keyboard punching, trying to break the keyboard with my head, to grabbing the keyboard like a sword and smashing it into the table full force(did that only once, dunno where did I fuck up THAT badly to pull off a stunt like that).
Surprisingly, 4 months later and the only damage are broken keyboard legs.

I probably can't play on a laptop :V

Touhou is a pretty fun way to learn how to control yourself - I can now laugh about stupid deaths even on a real run :V

Strangely, my reactions don't tend to be that bad, no matter how frustrated I am (and trust me, PoFV rage yesterday was incredible) I rarely go above a simple "ARGH!" out loud, and don't really slam/break things.

Aaah...that sucked, really.  Tried SA Hard for the first time in...quite a while, really.

Two deaths on Yugi, three on Stage 4, game overed on Satori.  Disappointing, especially the clip on BoWaP, I really though I had it and then I died.

Things we need to work on:
NOT DYING ON YUGI'S FIRST NONCARD
Not dying on Yugi's SECOND noncard
Not dying like crazy on Stage 4 for no good reason
Terrifying Hypnotism
DBDB
Not dying with power every death

Brb, kicking myself over a 2DNB run of MS Stage 5. That post-boss stuff is nasty. Much more nastier than I originally thought. Much more worse than MoF Stage 4's. I'm thinking of stalling down the timer on the mid-boss as low as I can get it, even though it will be bad for my score.

So apparently, much like my capture, my no-bomb timeout of VoWG was a complete fluke, and I still suck at Touhou, because several tries later (one with eight lives), I've only managed to get the timer down to 59 seconds.  With Eight Lives.

Oh bloody hell.  At least I captured Source of Rains again (which is still one of ZUN's worst spell cards).

How the hell are you supposed to beat Yumemi on Hard... blaaaah, I reached her with 3 extra lives using Reimu, got an extend while fighting her, lasted several minutes each time, yet never even got her down to half a heart left.

I can PERFECT all of the stage portions in EoSD Hard.

But because I'm so confident I always end up wanting to play on the top of the screen for maximum point value and always, ALWAYS end up dying in the most stupid ways in stages 3 and 4. I should just sit back and watch all those items fall like i do in ST 5 and 6 then I could totally 1cc this shit with many lives to spare because the only boss in the game who gives me any trouble is Patchouli.

Which char? I could perfect Hard Patchouli easily....was ReimuB or MarisaB.

Post midboss MS Stage 5 was probably the inspiration for post midboss EoSD Stage 5, except MS is harder there. =V

Just to get this out of my system, in order of descending difficulty:

• MS Stage 5 Post-Mid-Boss
• SA Stage 5 Post-Mid-Boss
• MoF Stage 4 Post-Mid-Boss (I've practiced this one a lot)
• PCB Stage 4 Post-Mid-Boss
• UFO Stage 5 Post-Mid-Boss (Easier than it actually looks most of the time)
• EoSD Stage 5 Post-Mid-Boss

IN and LLS, don't have them IIRC,  SoEW's (if it does have one; who knows?) I would imagine being pretty laughable.

Tried doing a UFO lunatic 1cc attempt.

Actually made it all the way to LFS/LFO before game-overing.
If I had micro-memorized this I would probably have pulled it off.  :-

The run is godawful with bombspam and doing stupid stuff in general.
Also I have no idea what the best UFO chaining route is.

Highlights include:
- Dying to Murasa's first spellcard.
- Dying to Byakuren's opener.
