>"I-I was just...uh...umm...K-knocking to be polite...?"
>Renko and Reimu give you an odd look.
>Open the door.
>You open the door and step inside.
>Inside there are tons of shelves lined with all sorts of books, there is also a counter near the front of the store. Behind the counter is a young girl with red eyes, light red hair and twin pigtails adorned with bells. She is dressed in a checkered Kimono and is wearing an apron. Standing in front of the counter is a woman with fluffy, brown hair and glasses with a checkered scarf. There is a green clip in her hair that resembles a leaf.
>"Welcome to Suzunaan, can I help you?" the girl behind the counter asks, "Oh, hi there, Reimu. Who are these people? I've never seen them before..."
>"Hello, Kosuzu." Reimu replies, "And if you must know, these two are outsiders who wanted to check out the store."
>"Whoa! No way!" the girl exclaims, "Well, feel free to look around! We have a wide variety of books. A lot of them are from the outside world too, maybe you'll find some familiar?"
>The brown haired woman seems to be looking at Renko with curiosity.
>"So Reimu you said something about us not being able to fire Danmaku, what exactly did you mean by that? How do people fight on this world?"
>"In Gensokyo, most conflicts are what is resolved in a spellcard duel. Two opponents declare spellcards, which are preset patterns of attacks that must be timed out or captured. The attacks are
supposed to be more oriented towards beauty, rather then power, though there are several exceptions to this rule. Anyway, a victor is decided whenever one side is either defeated, or runs out of spellcards." Reimu explains, "Danmaku is simply a projectile. Commonly, they are composed of magical energy, but it doesn't have to be. For instance, I have a friend who opts to use knives instead of magical bullets, and my yin-yang orbs, when used in a spellcard, count as danmaku. Back before the spellcard laws, it was possible to be seriously injured or killed by danmaku, but since then a nonlethal variant is used. It's actually illegal to use the lethal stuff in a spellcard duel. Anyway, I doubt you'd be able to fire danmaku, since you're not only human, but you're from the outside world. Most of the humans in this village actually can't fire danmaku at all, or prefer not to. And I'm pretty sure most people from outside lack magic."
>Proceed to check the store for useful books.
>You begin searching the shelves.
>You find several familiar titles from the outside world, as well as some books exclusive to Gensokyo. Among them is a book called
Gensokyo Chronicle.
>You also find several textbooks on one shelf, of varying subjects.
>Did we bring any money? And if so does Gensoko Gensokyo uses the same currency (?)?
>You realize that in your excitement this morning, you forgot to pack any money. However, you don't think it would have mattered, you have no idea if Gensokyo uses the same currency.
>You notice the brown-haired woman walk over to Renko.
>"Excuse me, but would you mind if I talked to you outside for a minute?" she asks.
>Renko freezes, "Uh..."
>"Hey, don't be scared!" says Kosuzu, "Mamizou's friendly. She won't hurt you!"
>"Oh, uh... well... I don't think it'll hurt if I did..." Renko looks over to you, "Would you mind if I stepped outside for a minute?"
