Haha. Take that, volume meter!

I might try to skill up Scarlet for Raoh. More haste is always good, yes?

I still don't even have an idea as to how I might go about trying to beat Scarlet. Scarlet is the one non-arena dungeon I just can't beat. I guess if I bashed Ra into it for long enough I would probably eventually just get lucky, but I certainly don't have an actual plan.

orz
I made a PADHerder. It's probably out of date though.

Your best bet is probably to pair up with a good blue leader. I just cleared it in JP with a monogreen team too abusing the hell out of a BValk i luckily befriended  ;)

Green has more utility subs than Red, is the thing.

When you put it that way, you might as well just stick with Ra Dra forever...

Green's utility are all shields tbh.
Our bind healers are Ceres and Odin dragon.
And only green teams need a bind healer in the first place due to apollo.
Gon is green's best utility sub with delay and def-ignore. Sadly he's collab gold and nothing else comes close. At least we have Christmas Alraune

Fixed that for you.  Tower of Flare is another one of the tough difficulty spikes so don't feel too discouraged if you have trouble with it.  I THINK this might be where you first fight Ifrit so I'd recommend either doing as Espadas said and/or having a defense breaker(Earth Knight, maybe?  Or Earth Baron if you decide to evo one that far) to deal with it since its DEF is really really high and it hits pretty hard.  (You can ping it down with 1s, but it's better if you can hit over its DEF so it can't pummel your face in.

red has basically worse options in every category there except maybe delay if you run ecchi and def ignore if you're red prongs (AKA bad red)

Good news: Scarlet seems to be no problem with Batman.

Bad news: That's with the caveat of me playing at higher than "completely fucking amateur" level.  I really have to stop playing PAD in the morning <_<

For def-ignore Red has rodin
Delay red has Cao Cao

Though the main point is still that green is the only colour that even needs to waste a spot on bind healer for arena rather than how great their pool is.

rodin sux

cao cao is -still- red prongs

i don't really feel like arguing that point since it seems minor in the grand scheme of things and i don't really care about arena, but you're pretty off base with red imo

red's kinda a weak color these days, especially because we're -still- kinda split when we should be all inning on rows

I'm actually not familiar with how green fares against arena because I opt for Hathor personally.

The green being weakest for arena Opinion are stuff I got from reading jp opinions and my frd who's been suffering by doing arena with Freyja/Silvi

I started this convo replying to trance's statement of red being weakest for challenge and arena so yeah, by no means am I saying red is faring better than green in general.

Anyhow arena is being renewed so all this talk about old arena is moot.

Who are the main leaders for Red at this point? Awoken Shiva suffers from "rows where?", and Shivadora still doesn't have the best sub pool aside from orb changers I think?

old arena is turning into a guerilla, so shots can still be taken at it when we get there, just not leisurely.

raoh/freyr is really probably the best thing I'd say red has right now

but you'll more commonly see 'i am a whale with shivadora' or 'i'm still using a.shiva because we really don't have anything that works as well. please send help gungho.'

Wouldn't Raoh also count as "whale" lead (or just incredibly lucky) since he's a collaboration gold?

I guess people can just get Freyr and leech off a Raoh friend.

Though I'm legit surprised that Raoh is this strong to begin with.

he does which is why the field is much more shivadora or a.shiva in the end

but his subpool is legit fantastic imo

chiyome/belilal/leilan is a strong core for changing and his main problem is utility which is just where red never wins anyway

and there's plenty of backup options across attacker and devil

raoh was really sleeper because he never impressed me before and i considered him mediocre but his ult really made him worth it so you're not alone

ngl this is why I like Awoken Astaroth so much-- she's literally green Raoh but not quite as broken due to lower overall stats for her specific necessary types, which are more strict by default seeing that green row devils are fairly uncommon (hell, green is a primarily tpa color) and healers are more squishy and less punchy than red devils/attackers.

Buuuuut if you have a lot of usable units, she's scary as hell.

Aren't most leads, "if you have the right subs they're fantastic?"

It just happens that most of red rows is either attacker or devil. Except Yamato Takeru, Uriel, and Gadius.

I'm at 15 Scarlets in my box so far. But... no skillup chance boosts today. Whelp.

I, uh,  use a fire row and change plus combos? Just using six fire orbs won't KO the fire demon.

But considering that this is with low-cost collaboration mobs with some of the highest ATK values in the game, I imagine getting past the wood demon with I&I is, uh, difficult.

Christ why do they have nearly 2 million HP and hit for 21000+ each though?

I'm with you, Gabriel can't kill the green one. Maybe if I got really lucky with skyfalls or a perfect opening board, but their stats are just too ultra-mega-turbobuffed over the normal demons AND I have next to no stats. :(
