Is this basically 'play a song until it bleeds into your ears and you can hear the heat death of all idolity' style of play?

Because this looks half-interesting but oh god after love live i'm skeptical

You have a store credit balance; you must spend your balance before you can change stores.
Looks interesting, what's it like f2p wise?

I liked the original im@s, so I just downloaded this and proceed to go 'oh god what am I doing with my life' and very carefully play through the tutorial, with headphones, and still muttering complains under my breath, in the workplace

[attach=1]

I have no idea what are friends id, so will need to get home until I can further indulge in idolism craziness

And this game even has 3d dance models, bloody hell, this is totally obviously the worst thing ever that will ruin my life

First things first, it's more challenging than LL, with a bigger variety of songs, MMD style dancing, room decorating, music video mode, etc etc. Overall a better experience.

I dunno about love lives, but I am very, very impressed by how over-the-roof the production values are for this one. Basically everything is 100% voiced, CG sequences are spot on and there's a nice gimmicky sim element to it. You can spend hours poking away at this thing and still not be bored, its a terrible, terrible timewaster, meaning its very good at what it does.

also, pro is goddamn brutal, and oh god I accidentally spent a gem on speedy upgrade and now I have a super awkward number that sucks for rolls

Finally beat a pro song

Edit: beat another one again, the money payout sure is less than what I would get by perfecting regulars, but the potential gem pay (in the song score thing) makes the training all the more worth it

Well it is all moonrunes, but the intent generally is pretty clear whichever menu you go to, since there's always these little pictures accompanying the buttons and a tutorial will visually indicate what you are supposed to do in whichever tab the first time you click them. The main gameplay is from the big 'live' button which is where the main source of fun is from, and helpfully enough the difficulty select is also in english, so you are unlikely to have problems with that.

The one thing to remember is that gems are capped resources and must be bought if consuned whIch makes them very valuable if you don't plan on paying. Don't confirm anything that deducts gems (unless you are drawing cards, which is the only time when you should be using gems anyway, in which case the gem cost is always 250)

Rest aren't too important and will probably be recoverable mistakes whatever you do, just don't cannabalize the SS idols

Oh hey I installed this yesterday out of curiosity with a couple friends of mine because it's an IM@S game :V

Is it just me or is the life bar somewhat brutal? It doesn't help me when I'm trying to fix my iPod to work perfectly with this game with little lag but lag spikes tend to force some misses on me and I just need a couple lag spikes for me to die when I could easily pass Master difficulty (thanks to my rhythm gaming background :V)

I'll leave my ID here, however don't be surprised if I don't play this for long as the scoring mechanics is more or less similar to Love Live, which turned me off completely (along with the stamina thing). Only thing that's keeping me on the game longer are the idols themselves :V

Regarding stones;

Don't care about my previous comment, apparently you get a guranteed super rare or beyond by rolling ten at once.

I was just apparently, very lucky to have drawn a SS on my third pull without any resets, since you'd normally only have a 1.5% chance of drawing those supers, now burn me for being the lucky bastard I am

Edit; also, I just reallllly want a SS ranko or Rin, because the SS kirara I have right now is just grinding on my ears too much, I am kinda worried though about them being available only through 17/9, so should I take another gamble pull with the stones I have, or just outright reset?

Pretty good game so far. Main complaint is the numerous and lengthy loading times. Or maybe I just need to upgrade my phone.

Also, maybe it's just me, but the timing feels a lot stricter than what I've experienced in SIF.

Slightly long load times are really normal and happen to everyone but I'm fine with it.
Having played SIF, the timing for perfect feels more generous, actually... But I did spend 30 minutes+++++ configuring the button delay. Don't forget you can increase the note speed too. (When picking a unit for a song, there's a setting button next to the 2d/3d options to change speed.)

Yeah, you're guaranteed an SR when you roll 10 at once. Current SSRs will highly likely stay in the pool, but if you reaaallly want this Ranko/Rin then I'd say reroll since you seem to have good luck (and cant stand Kirarin) since the a next batch of SSRs mean lesser chance of getting these current ones. Why not take another gamble pull and then reset?

Due to this, gotta love getting dem C and B ranks on Master difficulty :V

Curse you gpop, do you even remember how many rhythm games you have consumed in your life?

Iunno, honestly saying? I just don't feel secure enough to trust 'good luck' and Ive already invested a few days worth of time into upgrading some R idols I have. Given no prior knowledge of such mobages I just don't know if its a good call to sacrifice some Rs and a SSR for the uncertain chance to pull the SSR I want, or if I do, if its feasible enough to manage beford the deadline 24 hours after.

Damn, inexperience really makes this kind of resource management hell, can someone offer me some pointers?

Trust me man, it still ain't easy without a good life team (which I don't have rip) and the stamina system doesn't help :( I do Pro mode to level myself up a bit to reset my stamina though for more tries at Master (still low level so I can still do that atm :V)

king of mobages comin' through

Personal experience- Keep your current account. Rerolling is infinite only as long as you have time, which is normally quite finite. 1.5% is low enough you're going to spend a LOT of time going for another ssr, and theres always the chance you get the same you have.

In short, take your luck and run. Don't be me. Rerolling is rarely worth it.

The new SSRs have cometh, no perfect lockers or healers, first gen SSR idols are probably still much better

Still 1300 gems away from a ten pull, the temptation is real

Right now I am good enough to full combo the hardest regular 14 star song (ranko's), but the highest I've cleared is rins 17 star song on pro, there's just somehow a huge difficulty curve between full comboing the easiest 15 star pro songs with all those brutal crossups, maybe I should just stop playing with only my thumbs?

Yeah, since the game's hardest maps are meant to be played with index fingers (I'm looking at those notes that require both hands to be on the far end of the screen oh god) but I've seen a friend play halfway through a song and then it flipped upside down because she pressed the screen too hard so I'm gonna go with my twin healers + thumbs for now...  :V

Huh...got a random sightread FC on pro difficulty. I guess that's 50 more jewels for me :V Currently at 2400 jewels, almost there for the 10 gacha chance.

(I would FC more songs if the game didn't randomly lag at times which would cause me to drop my combos rip)
