External Hard Drive Stole The Precious Replays
« on: August 07, 2015, 04:45:26 AM »
I was having a problem with IN where I could not find my replay files anywhere. It got to the point where I had to search with Windows Explorer and I finally found that they were only on my backup hard drive's copy of the game files.

I just tried to copy over the replay folder back onto my computer, but the next time I checked the replay folder disappeared again. How can I make sure my external hard drive doesn't keep making the original folder disappear?

Have you tried just copying them to a new folder in your My Documents or something?

Perhaps try reinstalling the game?

Sure I could just do that, but I want to make sure that I can keep my replay folder in the game folder. I am only using Windows 8's File History backup system. It shouldn't be erasing anything at all from my PC's hard drive, which means that there is either a problem with Windows (not likely) or IN itself.

OK, now I have seven replays listed in the game, but there are only five .rpy files in either the game folder on my PC or on the external hard drive. What is going on?
