As someone who cleared Challenge 8 with Raaaaa, it seems to me that you're supposed to recover from the gravity proactively by mashing the "destroy her!" button the second her sprite pops up on screen.

Most of my damage is fire and noah is water. Even at full power damage (AKA 1 TPA + 8 combos with active popped and 5 colors matched) I only got her down to 50%.

...Granted, my team isn't exactly offensive-oriented. But that's what happens when I DON'T HAVE AN LKALI OR SOMETHING LIKE THAT

I'd love to be able to give you my superfluous Kali, but I can't.

Honestly I think a decent chunk of that is fucking type resist. Ra (or I should say, my Ra build with Ra/Kali leads) does not have tremendous damage honestly. It's good damage, and consistent, but off a lot of Kali boards it just barely one-shots bulkier enemies. If I wasn't arbitrarily immune to type resist I think that kind of thing would be a big problem for me.

Maybe this is poinless, but have you considered a Horus/Kali team? Kali still does decent work with red TPAs as a lead. I don't know if your colors are set up for it, but if Horus is anything like Ra you want a Kali active more than you want a redundant Horus active.
I made a PADHerder. It's probably out of date though.

Berry Dragon carried me through lv 8

all that hello kitty grinding was worth it ;_;

I think I have an idea in mind for c8, but I'm not sure if it would be enough...need to do some math and figure out what I can load into the team.

All rushes clear (for now).

God and Hera with Gabriel, Devil and Dragon with Ra. I do want to clear them all with Gabriel eventually, but I don't feel like trying right now.

I actually thought this whole time that Zaerog would use both of his absorb abilities pre-emptively, only going down to one or the other when they expired. That being the case I guess I got slightly unlucky by getting light the first time, but I planned to have to deal with both, so it didn't really matter. This was a close call in the sense that I was going to die next turn, but it was a planned close call and it all went according to plan, so whatever.

Awesome. My Vishnu team could really do with some extra beefiness and that'd do it nicely. I believe that also means with 3 Susanos you'd get a perma-buff, which is fun. :V

You could get perma-buff with the original 3 Susano ults anyway = 5 + 5 +5 = 15.

Ult Chibi Valk now has SB and Skill Lock Resist.

I know who I'm putting in my athena team next, alright.

By the way, anyone's got an idea at what difficulty I should farm Earth Insect Dragon for Vishnu/Leeza skillups? I know I did it some time before, but I don't remember which difficulty I used. Expert certainly hasn't been giving me good results.

Is that Physical/Dragon on Susano? His new form is amazing for sure, but losing BOTH of his typings kind of sucks. Of course I'm going to make him, he's incredible for Verdandi, but losing Attacker makes GZL sad. But the extra prong sort of mitigates that. What's his leader skill now?

3x ATK when matching 2 or more Wood combos
~20% (??) damage resistance from all damages

MatsuriSakuragi

Hmm. So he's basically a stronger golem now. I like him, but his types are things I just can't work with. Maybe he'll work well as an Osiris sub, but balanced or attacker works way better for that...

Also I like how ult chibi Ronia and valk are literally better than their original counterparts. Of COURSE they'd finally make light valk good but collab/event exclusive.

It's worth noting that Susano is 9x ATK with ~36% damage reduction to everything. Might be useful somewhere...

MatsuriSakuragi

Oh, I wasn't even paying attention to his leader skill. Hmm, that DOES have potential. And I do have some pretty buff woodmakers cards like Meimei, Liu Bei, eventually Leilan, and hopefully Osiris gets stronk when he gets his ult... Hmm.

It really seems that I am just destined to run wood forever. :V

Yeah, that sounds useful. How would his active stack with his leader skill for reduction? If my dubious math is right that's 68% reduction 2/3 of the time with two skillmax Susanos. That's pretty nuts. 9X with two prongs is better than a Norn for damage output, and bulkier. Matching two green sets every turn isn't effortless, but it's also not that hard and he's buff enough to wait for actives if he has to.

Susano/Sasuke/Liu Bei/GZL/Verdandi or Summer Gonia/Susano maybe?

That HP.

I have all my meimei mats ready to go, just waiting for the orb skillup change.

Yeah, that sounds useful. How would his active stack with his leader skill for reduction?

The initial damage is reduced by 36%, then the remainder is halved. So... that would be 68% reduction.

MatsuriSakuragi

That's uh... really, really good. That's close to three turns of unconditional Kushinada. Six, considering you'd be running two Susanos.

Thaws

  • _m廿廿m_
Run a third Susan's in your sub and you have permanent 68% reduction. Welcome to a new age of stall teams.

MatsuriSakuragi

I do have two Susano...

Oh god, the woodpys I'm gonna need. Have mercy on me.

I only see one issue with using Susano/Susano/???/???/???/Susano

Where is your burst? The other three mobs better have very good actives, even if long, to make up for three members being on damage reduction duty.

The best duo I see is Liu Bei and Draggie!? Any reason to take Liu Bei is a reason you should take, and Draggie is an underappreciated option.

Threedia is a weird option. The shift in attack from x9 to x12 isn't trivial, and because you already have 50+% damage resistance (and so much HP!) it's basically like "4x attack at 99% or lower HP" for any other team.
Beach Gonia? Things gonna die, and the haste system makes her cd a lot more bearable, but that requires a rare roll in a special REM.

I'm inclined to say that 3X Susano is not worth it for most dungeons. I think you could get away with two.
I made a PADHerder. It's probably out of date though.

MatsuriSakuragi

Draggie... would be pretty legit if you run 3x Susano with Liu Bei and one other or something.

Personally I was going to run with attacker subs the more I think about it, just because I like every excuse I can get to use GZL.

There does also exist the option of just turtling it out. 9x isn't bad. When you can use any wood subs, even more so. If anything, I'd say a bigger problem is the RCV.

There's no doubt that virtual 2+/9/2+ stats can turtle a billion things. There are GTFO attacks that you can't tank, though, and you'll need a way to get through those.

I want to use GZL, as his stats are just far superior to Draggie and still affects Liu Bei. But I think having Draggie let four or more members hit for 2.5x +delay is better than letting GZL ignoring any Susanos you have and only for 2x.

I wonder if speccing members for further elemental resist would be useful, and if so, what color would you build against?

At least GZL has RCV compared to Draggie. :V
