New plan!

> Charge in after her, holding our sword diagonally across our body with our hands at our left, in a reverse of her hold.

>You charge in at her, turning your sword opposite of hers. She launches another ponderous, heavy attack like before at you.

> Hold our sword vertically on our left last time to block, but this time, move our own right hand far up the blade to help brace the block. (Obviously, do not slide our hand up the sharp side, and do not grip or otherwise wrap our fingers around the sharp edge. Our best bet for safety is to push an open palm up against the flat side of the blade that's facing toward us.)

>You try to block her as before. and brace your weapon. The two blades meet and for a moment you feel you have the advantage, before Meira braces her own and overpowers you, sending you stumbling again!
>You feel there was something supernatural going on this time, but it's rather outside your capacity to sense directly.

>You take another step back, having already stumbled back a few. Slightly more prepared for this this time, you don't need as long to recover, and your bracing did much to help keep Roukanken under control.
>Meira is a few yards from you now, and closing in at an easy pace.

> How quickly could we run circles around Meira, like how she was trying to circle around us earlier?

>It would be best to move back from it. Ducking under it may be possible with the right preparation, but it would be very risky. At worst, you could dive in the direction she is slashing and hope to be faster.
>That depends on how wide you want the circles to be. It's hard to keep up speed and keep a tight circle.
