 FIESTA GET HYPE
We officially start after the run ends IIRC oh boy oh boy!

Another bit of ~Fiesta math~  as we wait : 0.21% chance of 4zerkers4byblos which is only slightly lower than rolling 3of a kind in Chaos Mode.

4 Berserkers vs Byblos isn't too bad. Liquid Flame and Sandworm sucks, but Byblos can be dealt with.

Just a reminder that The Run starts in 2 hours. http://www.twitch.tv/rpglimitbreak will feature the four-way as Puwexil, DragonDarch, eLmaGus, and HappySquid speedrun the game with a Monk/Red Mage/Ranger/Dancer party, full of Legendary Weapon collecting and PIANO FLEX ᕦ(? Д?)ᕤ because donation incentives.

If nothing else DragonDarch's "strategies" are shaping up to be a hilarious clusterfuck again so could be worth tuning in just for the schadenfreude.

Counted 142 Berserker Riskers so far that are on Normal or Team 750. No idea if anyone else will register for it at the moment, but I doubt it'll change from last year where Normal and 750 could only get 1 from it. I'm sure more riskers will register though which will throw the odds off a bit.

That means we can eliminate those 142 players from having 2 Berserkers. And outside of that, I'm too lazy to check what the odds are for the people on No 750(since I think that also allows multiple Berserkers currently 12 riskers there), Random, or Chaos would be to get a guaranteed second. We obviously still have the random chance of rolling some, but I'm mainly interested in the Berserker Risk odds because a random roll or rolls would be extremely low.

Faris surviving with like 10 hit points vs Garula elicited cheering at our little run watching session I must say.

1 hour and 41 minutes till the start of the Fiesta at the time of this post. In terms of the run, eLmaGus finished at a time of 9:15:24, Puwexil finished at 9:25:12, DragonDarch is at Neo Exdeath, and HappySquid...is grinding in the Undersea Trench. Had bad luck with Exdeath in World 2, and Antlion.

Edit: And Dragondarch finished with a time of 9:38:02. HappySquid still in the Trench.

I wanna at least stream most of world 1 (probably not gonna try to do the whole run, avoid burnout) so I'm holding off on looking at my first job so I can react when I start.

What I do know:
Quote
Me: I'm not gonna start until tomorrow afternoon 'cause I kinda wanna stream it
Me: not sure if I wanna peek at my wind job or wait and be able to react to all of them on stream :V
Shim: I checked it
Shim: heh
Me: how much am I going to love and/or hate everything
Shim: heheheheheh
Shim: hahahahahahahaaa

Warning Chaos Riskers: the Chaos job reshuffle does not necessarily guarantee your safety if you roll a later job first.

[attach=1]

(Not my jobs, someone from the thread on SA.)

Granted I mean, Riskers know they're guaranteed at least one with a good chance at two by now. And non-Riskers are safe if they roll a late job first as far as I can tell. A late job first miiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight indicate having rolled only one 'zerker for Risk, though? Gilgabot probably assigns them to Water first.

edit: wow okay attaching as expandable thumbnail makes the thumbnail really tiny. CLICK PICTURE TO EMBIGGEN.

Also got Mystic Knight first. That makes for an easy 3 boss kill run.

Edit: Water job is Berserker(obviously). Next thing to do is to grind 100 ABP so I can equip Mystic Knight with !Berserk so that I don't even have to play the random battles  :)

I got Blue Mage for my first two jobs, lol. I would Job Fair one of them if it weren't for the fact that having two dudes that could potentially cast White Wind would be very very useful. I'll see how I do if/when I reach the Earth Crystal.

You're not in a Natural run, you only need one blue mage to have four dudes who could potentially cast white wind with a little work. :V

's still probably alright though.

Poking through the player list:

Current 3zerkers and 4th jobs: 3 with Dancer, 4 with unknown 4th, 1 with Samurai, 1 with Geomancer, 1 with Dragoon, 1 with Bard, 1 with Geomancer
Current 4zerkers: One (Everhate)
Players who got starting Zerker... without BERSERKER RISK: 29. Haven't seen any multi-zerkers for this group yet but many are unrevealed.

Fun Fact: The twitter accounts "givemeberserker" and "givemeberzerker"? Both of them are in the 3zerker category!

I'll probably look through for multi-jobs when more people unlock their classes. A quick glance does reveal a two pair (Summoner/Samurai) at least.

STOP POSTING GO TO SLEEP PEOPLE JEEZ.
Faris surviving with like 10 hit points vs Garula elicited cheering at our little run watching session I must say.
Seriously that was a real heart stopper. It was a dyed in the wool do or die predicament.
1 hour and 41 minutes till the start of the Fiesta at the time of this post. Squid must've gotten hit real hard since it was a good long while until they really caught up. I was in bed before they finished.
Warning Chaos Riskers: the Chaos job reshuffle does not necessarily guarantee your safety if you roll a later job first.
The Chaos thing has thrown me a bit. So the first job displayed is associated with the first crystal that has a job you'll be playing with? Are the next 3 jobs all over the place, potentially resulting in a situation where a fire crystal job may be displayed as the earth crystal job? At least, it seems that way with berserker risk in place. Whatevs. I have Knight and Mystic Knight to start and will roll the rest when I get home. Speaking of rolling, I'll be rolling over a lot of things, it seems. Physical and magical prowess are already set and if a healing/utility class is in the cards watch out.

MY REDEMPTION FOR FAILING CLASSIC LAST YEAR BEGINS
REDEMPTION! That's a perfectly legit party for a FF1 run and should be able to plow through the game without much in the way of issues.
So my first class is Time Mage.

I'VE NEVER EVEN USED THIS CLASS BEFORE.

[also in before I roll Dancer for the third year in a row]
Time mage fills the status buff/debuff niche all too well. It will be worth looking up just how many baddies are vulnerable to the nifty little list of tricks time mages have.
I got Blue Mage for my first two jobs, lol. I would Job Fair one of them if it weren't for the fact that having two dudes that could potentially cast White Wind would be very very useful. I'll see how I do if/when I reach the Earth Crystal.
Blue mage really takes some scoping out and planning around. White Wind is real useful but requires access to confuse abilities to get and it first appears at the end of the second world. The more you know about blue's magic spells, where they're located, and the limitations that come with them, the happier you'll be.

And all those with 4th job Earth Crystal still get 4zerkers4sandworm welp.
I just realized this is the first year I actually have elemental magic outside of Holy at the end.  Fire for Byblos?  DON'T MIND IF I DO  :flamingv:

Also hey Reddyne guess what class my sister rolled first you've got your work cut out Obi-Wan Kenobi'ing  :V :V :V :V :V :V

Yes and I don't think so but maybe?  We know the system will prioritize the distribution to minimize freelancer use at the start, so like I know I will not be getting any Wind Crystal jobs, and just from scrolling down the list it seems that ~chaos mode~ will give the rest of the job assignments at the earliest possible time which differs from the standard random.  In your case you could very well get a Fire Crystal job for your 4th as long as you get either Water/Fire next.  Or you could get Chemist next and just roflstomp your way to a 3 boss clear either/or.
