>"It's the meat of it, though."

>Liluye stops her work again to give you an appraising look, before turning her attention to Aya and Momiji. "The discussion Hatate and I had in regards to the vampire hunter called Dio was more philosophical than strictly informational."
>Aya blinks in confusion. "Do I wanna know?" she asks you.

>"Don't worry about it."

>"Then, you have met this vampire hunter?" Momiji asks her.
>"Many times. I was the only individual in this world she was safe with."
>"And do you think she would help us try and escape this book?"
>Liluye nods. "I have little doubt of that. She has tried at least twice, and while she has failed, she remains undaunted."
>"Does that mean that you haven't tried yourself?"
>The barber shakes her head. "No. Although Dio is convinced she knows how to escape, I did not believe she and I alone could penetrate the defenses of the Keep."
>"So there IS a way out there?" Momiji asks eagerly.
>"Dio is convinced of it. I am somewhat less certain, but I do know that that location stands out amongst all others in this Gensokyo. I do not know if it holds an exit of any kind, but it is definately special."

>Either way, indicate what is correct.

>You did not, and you tell Momiji so.
>"Still thinking about how to get her on side?" Aya asks her.
>"Yes. Or rather if we can get her on our side."
>"Ah, you always worry too much, 'Miji. You and Hatate here got through to me, after all. Ran shouldn't be too hard after that."

>As Momiji chuckles at Aya's vote of confidence in yours and her skills, the door of the barber shop opens again, admitting Celes and the youkai with the colorful wings she left with. "Ah, Ms. Shameimaru, Ms. Inubashiri. Have you been waiting long for me?"
>"Not at all." the white wolf answers her.
>"The children of this village are a very curious group." the Keep steward says with a faint smile. "They welcomed the sight of my mount, and looked upon me as someone they thought was 'cool'. I am not at all accustomed to such a reception. Such cannot be the norm, can it?"

>"Although it still has a ways to go before it catches all the way up to this place..." Aya murmurs.
>"Don't think that too strongly, Ms Shamei-"
>"I told you before, it's just Aya." the tengu cuts her off. "And I know, I don't need another lesson. It's, it's just..."
>"I understand." Celes answers sympathetically. "Believe me, I do."

>The majority of the tengu in the room answer you with a nod, save Liluye, who asks, "You are satisfied with this length for your hair?"

>"Theoritically, yes. Patchouli and Setsuka, and whomever else is aiding them, may succeed at releasing her with or without our involvement. It may also be that, if we succeed at infiltrating the Keep, we may find a way to free her and the others ourselves. At this point, I have no way of knowing for sure what we may find there."

>She has already stepped inside, but at your beckoning, she breezes past the other two tengu to stand closer to you.
>"Fascinating." Liluye muses. "Why would proximity to Hatate have such an effect on you?"
>"I've been thinking about that, too." says Ranka. "There was something in Hatate's wind, when I first met her. Something I didn't recognize, something different. And something inside me changed. I still don't understand what that was, or why it happened. But now I'm different than all the other characters."

>"I just got you to question enough things, I think."

>"But that shouldn't have been possible. Not with a world like this." Celes says. "As I mentioned before, Liluye, I have taken this as a sign that the fabric of this world is weakening. There is a, a corruption, if you will, in the system. Most likely as a result of the book trying to hold too many powerful people with powerful wills."
>"Does make sense." Aya agrees. "Me, Yukari's servant, Marisa and Alice, that's some pretty tough customers for a book to keep a hold of. Plus trying to track down Dio. Add the three of you, and that'd test almost anyone or anything. "
>"What about Greed?" Momiji asks Celes. "He's still here as well."
>Celes shakes her head. "I doubt he has put much strain on the system. He has embraced this world. This place was designed to make desires come true, and Greed is nothing but desire. That I think is why we should probably leave him alone, whatever we do about Ran. He might prove to be more resistant to our efforts than even Marisa and Alice."
