> When did we get that money, again?> "I do not, sadly. Is that what you are searching for there?"
> Is the crack the fairy is reaching into large enough to fit our arm?
> Would using our swords to retrieve the moss be uncouth?> Make our way toward the fairy in a relatively casual manner.> "May I see?"
> Would the pruning scissors fit in the crack?> Kneel down at the crack and have a look at the moss.
> How large is the fairy?> Given the length of the fairy's arms, about how close to the moss was she probably getting?> Could the pruning shears reach the moss?
> "Ah, yes, I see. Hmm...I may have something that could help you get the moss. But! It is quite valuable to me, and I absolutely cannot have you dropping it down the crack, so I can only lend it to you if you let me borrow something of value in return."
> If we reached down to get at the moss with the pruning scissors, would we still risk our arms getting stuck?> "What do you have?"
Well, this game happened.
> Crack a tiny smile of our own.> "That is true. But I do not think it would be very pleasant for you if I were to borrow your mouth."
> Look slightly taken aback.> "Um, if I were to do such a thing, you would experience immense pain and lose a tremendous amount of blood. I also cannot guarantee I would be able to return it to you in a usable condition."
> Nod.> "Indeed. So maybe it is not a good idea if I borrow your mouth. Perhaps I could borrow you yourself instead, though?"
> "Only if you do not agree to it. Which you are perfectly welcome to do, if the idea does not appeal to you."
> "I am not sure. It will depend on what situations we come across. I will say that I have business in the city up ahead, though none of it is with any specific oni."
> "It may be dangerous, but I have a duty to carry out, and an agreement to honor. I can come back here later to help you out, though, if you like, so you don't have to go to the city."
> Nod.> "Is this agreeable, then? You can continue to work at that moss while I am gone, and if you need my help when I return, we can discuss an agreement of our own."
