Akyu will replace herself. She reincarnates into the same person every time she dies in order to continue the Gensokyo Chronicle. Kind of like what happens to the Hourais except that she needs to make stops at Higan along the way.

Yeah, but she needs a break between incarnations; she isn't reborn the instant she dies.
I don't remember if canon gave an explicit time frame or not, but I think it was 100 years between incarnations or something.

Occasionally, the fairies won't even attack. They just do some loops and fly in formations with no intend of harming the player. In those occasions, you are a SAM site in middle of an airshow.
