Cannot run thCRAP on untranslated PCB
« on: October 04, 2014, 04:38:24 AM »
Whenever I want to use thCRAP to run PCB (original, japanese version), it doesn't run and give me the following dialogue:

If I just run th07.exe directly it wouldn't run either unless I use applocale, but thCRAP doesn't need applocale afaik so I can't figure out what is going on here :S

A short term solution would be running thCRAP on the translated english patched PCB but I still want to know what is causing my problem...

Have you tried changing your system locale to Japanese? It's usually more reliable than applocale and I've never had a single issue with it. Thcrap may still need the Japanese support since it is replacing data from a version of PCB that's still in Japanese instead of English. I can confirm that it runs with the untranslated version of PCB just fine.
I figured out how to play midi in games with a different device on Win7 ^^
TF2 Backpack
Embodiment of Scarlet Hair English Patch is almost completed.
^ I didn't forget about this. I don't know what you're talking about. >_>

Oh I see. My system locale is not in Japanese because the yen signs replacing my slashes just annoys me too much XD. TH08 and later do seem to work fine without Japanese locale but I guess earlier TH games are just messy like that.
