>Consider drawing on Suika's face.

>It would be a great way to get back at her for wrecking your flagship, if nothing else. Sadly, you currently lack the necessary equipment for drawing on Suika's face. Ink and a brush would be the classic way to do it, but a heavy duty marker could work too in a pinch. You could try finding something, or maybe Star has the right tools for the job?

>Have a seat at the kotatsu as if we owned the place.

>You walk across the room with a slow and deliberate gait, before sitting down on one of the cushions by the kotatsu. But you don't sit down in a customary way, no. You sit on that cushion like it's one of your chairs back home. Why? Because you're a boss. It's as if you've conquered the Hakurei Shrine and made Reimu into your menial cook, all without lifting a single finger in the process. Sun Tzu would be proud of you. Probably. You didn't bother reading very far into Art of War due to the lack of pictures in the book.
>You spot a familiar face peeking around the slid-open back door of the shrine. It's Star, who seems to finally have caught up with you after keeping her distance from you while following. Upon seeing you, she quickly switches her position to peek inside from the other side of the wide open sliding door.

>Star usually doesn't act this timid. It's quite frustrating, but not as frustrating as when she occassionally behaves like a lily-livered coward and ditches you and Luna to save her own skin.

>Motion for Star to come in already.

>Star nods thrice, then darts to you in a crouching form.
>"Seen anything sketchy?", she immediately asks you in a quiet voice upon reaching the kotatsu.

>"No, did you bring any drawing implements? There's a prime target for sketching over there!" pointing to the hornhead.

>Star glances at the sleeping Suika who she somehow hadn't noticed and says, "So that's what was making that noise."
>"And 'sketching', huh?", Star looks at the snoring oni again, then back to you with a cheeky grin, "I like the sound of that! Hold on a sec, I think I got something..."
>Star digs through one of her pockets, pulling out some shiny trinkets which she sets on the kotatsu. She shuffles the trinkets around, uncovering a glass inkwell from underneath.
>"Got the ink."
>Star moves on to search another of her pockets, and instantly finds something. Just as she's about to remove the item from her pocket, she quickly shoves it back in. Whatever it was, you only saw a bit of what looked like a wooden handle.
>"Aw. I don't have a brush.", Star says, frowning a little. "But there's gotta be one in here, right?"

She's right. Something tells me that there's definitely a brush nearby, so search for one!

>Search for whatever the red-white uses to write on her PostIt notes!

>Perhaps it's lying on a table? On the kotatsu, you can only see its covers and Star's trinkets. You look around and spot a tiny table in the corner of the shrine that's opposite of Reimu's back. You leave Star and get over to the table by sneaking carefully. Just to be sure, of course, even though Reimu is well away from the table. It would be no fun if that shrine maiden caught wind of what you're up to.
>On the tiny table lie dozens of neatly stacked paper amulets that remind you of the amulets that she throws around in her danmaku. There is also a calligraphy brush set on the table, next to an inkwell!

> Make sure it's safe, then grab the brush and get to doodling!

>You obtained: Ink brush

>With a suitable drawing utensil now in your possession, you get back to Star and the sleeping Suika.
>"Found a brush? Then let's get on with it!", Star says. She picks up the inkwell off the kotatsu and offers it to you with enthusiastic noddings.

>You obtained: Inkwell

>Of course you'll accept the honor of being the one who draws on somebody's face! To be honest, this is really a piece of cake for an artist of your caliber, but as a leader, you still have to set an example to Star.
>You quickly check what Reimu's up to. She seems to be busy with lighting up the stove, so unless if she has eyes on the back of her head, it should be safe enough to draw something quickly.

>You sit down next to Suika's head with your brush cast in ink, prepared to make the first stroke on the defenseless face of the sleeping oni...

>...

>...You think you're done. You're trembling way too much from trying to stifle it. Star appears to be having troubles as well, if seeing her lying on her side with a hand over her mouth and another over her chest is any indication to you.

>Quite, even if you do say so yourself! You had Star in stitches there. You've no idea how you or Star didn't crack up.

>Put our tools back. No one will suspect a thing!

>You lost: Ink brush
>You lost: Inkwell

>You return the ink brush back to its place on the tiny table and give the inkwell back to Star. Now, nobody will ever be able to figure out who inked that oni's face!

>"So, what's for breakfast?"

>"Would you fancy some tamagoyaki?", Reimu asks as she opens a long panel in the kitchen wall that swings up and outwards.

>"You're asking about drum youkai because you can't perform yourself, aren't you.", Reimu sighs.
>"Anyway, can't say I've run into a lot of drum youkai, but there's that Raiko Horikawa. I had to deal with her around the time of the youkai uprising. No idea where you could find her now, but she's not exactly very subtle when she's rehearsing.", Reimu says.

>"Don't forget!", says Star while holding up her index finger, "We're fairies, so a tsukumogami can't use the 'I hate humans' card on us. They're gonna need to think up an actual reason to refuse to work with us!"
>Reimu shakes her head, with an open right palm across her forehead, before turning back to face the kitchen.
>"Ah, right.", Reimu says, looking back at you over her shoulder, "Wake Suika up. She's got work to do."

>How tall is Suika compared to us?

>She's a little taller than you are. Suika, like you, is rather short, though. If she were to stand side-by-side with Reimu, Suika's eyes would be level with Reimu's chest.

>"We're having breakfast!"

>"Whuhhh?"
>Suika stretches a bit, then sits up eyes closed, even though she had managed to pry them partially open just a moment ago. But that's okay, the eyes you drew on her are superior anyway.
>"Without meee? That's mean..."
>"No, the breakfast isn't even done yet.", says Reimu, who then takes a look over her shoulder at Suika. "Suika, go get r--"
>As she witnesses Suika's new face, Reimu freezes up and drops her sentence. She blinks a few times, then simply stares at Suika with an unamused face. You hear Star snicker a bit.
>"Huuh?", Suika finally opens wide her eyes, "Staring contest?"
>"Nevermind. Just go get rice, Suika.", Reimu dismisses Suika, refusing to comment on her face.
>"Um... Got it?", says Suika, who looks unsure whether she gave Reimu the correct response or not. She shrugs, lies back down on the futon and turns on her side, facing you.
>"Oh, it's you! Hi!", Suika greets you, smiling. "Sorry, can't play with ya yet. Just hold on a sec, okay?"
>She begins levitating, still assuming her relaxed lying-on-side pose, before exiting the shrine via the open back door by slowly floating out in an undulating manner. You can't help but grin like a moron as you watch her depart. What she's doing looks silly enough on its own, but your masterpiece on her face crowns the silliness. Star seems to be amused too, if her snickering is anything to go by.
>"So that's what that giggling was all about...", says Reimu, who's looking at you disapprovingly with her arms folded. "I should've known you'd find a way to prank, even while being literally behind my back, huh."

>"Rule number one: never misunderestimate the three fairies of light!"

>"Adden-dumb: Even if there's only two of us!", Star adds. "Where's your proof we did that, anyway? You can't ligitate us!"
>Reimu sighs and turns back to the kitchen.
>"Oh well. I can't prevent you from being faeries."
>You hear clattering coming from the back porch, followed up footsteps. Around the corner of the back door comes a dozen half-a-shin height mini-Suikas, carrying a rice bag over their heads. And they all have your work of art on their faces. You and Star were not prepared to see that.
>After having a fit of giggles again, you notice that Suika has walked up to you. She looms over your sitting self, and you feel dread despite Suika's smile.
